CTX that make me want to hurl

372 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Fairy4tmama
I have not experienced this before with my other PG. For the last 3 days I have been having these random CTX that are super strong & fairly long in length (not at all like the BH I am also having), then after wards I feel like I want to :puke for between 20 minutes and a few hours. What the heck is this all about? Last night I had one that left me all shaky, cold, curled up on the couch and just plain nasty feeling. Has/is any one else experienced this?

Are they CTX or do you think that maybe you have some sort of stomach virus? The cold and shaky thing sound like maybe you have a stomach issue.

I have been having some strange pains in my lower belly and walking is a challange at times. When I talked to my MW she asked how my BMs were and unfortunately they aren't so frequent since the baby dropped last weekend. So,the pains are actually digestion related for me. I feel like an old lady when I try going for a walk. I can barely make it around the block, but if I go to the bathroom, I am good for a few hours.

Try some warm ginger tea, take it easy and put your feet up. I hope that you feel better.
Thanks for the response phytoangel, I am sure these are CTX. They remind me of the type I have had during active labor ie I have to stop what I am doing and focus but even in my past labors I have not felt like vomiting.
I was going to ask about a stomach bug to, since I just got over one that left me with horrible stomach cramps when I laid down. I barely slept for two days. I finially figured out they were not ctx, when I found that my b/h tightenings were not in sync. I have never had ctx like those...

I hope they pass soon.

Might want to let your cp know-- your body could be doing all the work ahead of time and labor might go really fast for you.
Are you drinking enough water?
Are you over doing it?
Have you checked your dilation lately? (just to see if the ctx are doing anything or not)
I would say take a day to drink alot of water and rest-- if you don't have any w/ resting/water, then you are probably overdoing.
It would probably be best to make it to 36 weeks before going into labor. :)

I called the nurse last week and she never called back (she is not usualy like that, I supose I should call back but I go in on thurs )Are you drinking enough water? OH YEAH I had some unexplaind blood in my urine last month so I have been scupulous about intakeAre you over doing it? Quite possibly
Have you checked your dilation lately? (just to see if the ctx are doing anything or not) I totaly can not reach and dh is useless in that regard becuase he claims to be unable to tell (I think he is just distracted

Thanks for the ideas I do think it could be from doing to much and stress they got better over the weekend while I was not working
