OMG, I have to share this with you all! DS was born, I picked him up, turned over, lay down with him (was hand-and-knees birth), placenta delivered, we're bonding, nuzzling, etc, but was only for a few mins, cause I needed a couple stitches from my midwife and so I asked DH to hold him in the rocker as I got the Lidocaine injected for a sec. So, he takes the babe and he had a button down shirt on so that he could open it and provide skin-to-skin warm fuzzies for babe (and he looked hot, too!

). Anyways, we all hear a SLURP-SMACK! noise and we all look over to see dh with the MOST surprised look on his face. DS had just helped himself and latched right onto dh's nip!!! Smack, smack, smack, we continue to hear as ds goes for the gold, so to speak!!!! I don't think I have ever seen that many hysterical people in one room before. We were all punch-drunk from the long labor and we just all dissolved in hysterics. Our doula had the presence of mind to take a picture. If I learn how to put pics into a computer I will post it. My husband is still very proud that baby's 1st nip was his! :LOL ps - dh doesn't even have man-boobs or big nips, he is a thin guy - proof that my babe is a super-sucker!!!

Yeah, i love that pic, too - so glad someone picked up the camera right then! Between that experience and the article kavamama showed us, it validated the thought that i had always thought guy's nips were there for some reason!!!
