Wow how much can you miss in a day! Sooo much.

webjef- I can so understand about the 3 yos. When ds4 was 3 he escaped from the house while everyone was sleeping (yes the doors were locked) and made it 3 blocks away across a bsuy street. I woke up maybe 10 mins after he'd left and couldn't find him, had neighbors out looking for him and we saw a cop car and flagged them down- they had just picked him up and brought him to the station about 4 blocks away- its soo scary. I thought I'd die if anything had happened to him. We put those sliding locks on the top of our doors where he can't reach them and haven't had a problem yet. I was expceting to have social services at the house after that (had to talk to a worker before we could bring him home) and they never followed up. I don't know really in the long thing if that's a good or bad thing- esp where I live. But I am so glad you're son was safe. My best moment during all of it was realizing he had had pants on- we were pt and he'd like to go streaking so at least he was clothed!

Gald to see mel w had her lo- she's so cute.

I wish all the mommies that are in pain or just ready to be done birth soon!

Update for me- Yep yeast infect. did a one day treatment last night, but the stupid goop slipped right out into the toilet last night after insertion! didn't have anymore so gonna have to try agian tonight. won't all be gone before labor but if it can be at least not so bad then hopefully won't affect labor (more the pushing) and I hope waterbreaking and cleaning out helps too. I think the treatment is really to help me physically feel better- right now still really uncomfortable. Goin pee 5 times an hour I don't think is helping- all that wiping. And no dtd again before lo!
Kinda makes me sad as who knows how long it'll be now till the next time.

Plan for the day- dye eggs finish laundry. And try to keep the panic out of my nesting OCD. Just 2 days till lo is here. so excited and a little scared. Lots of irrational stuff- like I haven't done this 5 times before! OH god- 2 days. 2 days. 2 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Owwwww....I *think* maybe I'm having real contractions. It feels like really painful and bad cramps. I woke up around 5 am feeling like I had strained my back in my sleep or something, but then the crampies started. I couldn't get back to sleep again so thought I'd come downstairs and say hello and time them. Of course I've seen over the past few weeks this seems to happen to a lot of us and then it just goes away after a bit, so don't hold me to it! I tried to get DH to snuggle me, but he was like "Noooo, I'm sleeeppyyyy" and rolled away.
I'll probably be back here sheepishly later saying I have gas or just had to poo or something.

This is where I usually just lay on top of him and make him wish he had at least held my hand.

I had some Braxton-Hicks contractions last night that actually started following a pattern (between 5-7 minutes apart) for a good hour! Each one lasted about 1 minute. So I was hopeful that maybe it was the beginning of labor. I decided to eat something and go to bed, figuring that if it was really the beginning of labor then the contractions will wake me up. Well, I slept 8 hours and I feel fine this morning so false alarm! I'm hoping the full moon tomorrow night gets things going!!!!!

I hope this is the start of something for you!!!!
: Let's go full moon - bring it on for all of us who are ready!!!!

As for me, I have been having more Braxton Hicks contractions as well and my stomach has just been feeling overall more tight. I had one very strong (I'm pretty sure now in retrospect that it was baby kick induced) contraction on my way home from work yesterday and I *thought* for a minute it could be the start of something. It was just that one though. Baby is SO VERY ACTIVE this morning! As usual, he keeps me comforted by moving so much, but it's also getting quite uncomfortable. I think he clearly is very strong and is READY to try it on the outside (hear that baby - come on out and show us your strength
).

Today is my last day of work, hooray!
: Tonight I am trying acupuncture again and my secret (or not so secret) hope is that between today being my last day, having acupuncture tonight and tomorrow being a full moon that I will go into labor tomorrow! Wouldn't it be great if it was that easy to predict?

I think if my pelvis opens anymore its going to fall right off in two pieces. I am so sore this morning doing anything hurts. I told dh before he left that I'm taking my lie down on the couch today. I had to walk up the stairs to find one of the boys shoes and it almost brought tears to my eyes

I had a bit of a baby scare yesterday. I didn't feel the baby for hours
I was fiarly busy but I was sitting sorting stuff and kept thinking "I can't wait for baby to wake up and get in a better position" I didn't think much of it until dh showed up with the lo's and I looked at the clock and it had been HOURS.
I ate a bunch of freeze pops laid on the couch and within 15-20 minutes got some small wiggles

Baby was less active for the rest of the day and so far this am but it feels well within the normal range. DH said that we had a scare like that 24-48hrs before dd was born. I'm hoping he's right. I don't remember. I remember having a scare but beyond "sometime near the end" I'm not sure when

I have my 40wk appmnt today and a NST. Not looking foward to it at all. I made the appmnt when dh was there and asked him if that works for him because I don't want to go without him anymore. I reminded him like 3x yesterday and today he asked if I had any appmnts (I have pt, bc, hb mw and sometimes something else thrown in there every week) today. I said yeah the bc and he was all "crap" and now he's not sure if he can take me
:
If he can't I'm not going. The NSTs stress me out something terrible. They stressed me out with pg 1&2 and with all the happened with the twins I get flashbacks now and I'm actually breathing heavy right now just thinking about having to go

I'm sorry that he might not be able to go.

I hear you about the open pelvis, I couldn't get up last night because I couldn't move my legs due to my pelvis hurting so much. I'm boiling eggs for an egg hunt with friends today. I also have a secret hope that tomorrow will be the day. I won't be disappointed if it's not, but it would be nice.

Total insomnia last night but not due to pain just couldn't sleep! This is the second night in a row. I finally got to the sofa and was a bit better laying semi upright due to the AR. Had some cramping/backache last night and this am. But not sure it's amounting to anything. I was sooo good yesterday. High in spirits and just had a great day. Not so chipper today...I just want to have this baby!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and had DD at that time.

Well have to try to change my mood today....

Good morning, everyone. I slept a little better tonight after DH decided to spend the night on the sofa. I think there's just not enough room in the bed anymore for the 2 1/5 of us, but I enjoyed being able to turn over freely and it was also less painful. Like Azreiall and some others, my pelvic joint pain is back with a vengeance because someone parked his head there.

Anyway, I'm on my way to work for the day. Hope you're all having a great day with lots of birthing activity and happiness.

Oh no, I hope he can go with you. My husband is very much an absent-minded professor kind of guy, so I totally sympathize with you for having a DH who has trouble keeping track of practical details.

Bexo and michanders, here's hoping that full moon does the trick for both of you!

As for me, yesterday I went to the last mw appointment that I'll have before the birth. I got all of my questions answered and met the OB who'll be doing the surgery. He was very kind and reassuring. I'm so glad to have care providers that I feel like I can trust. Of course, I picked this practice based on recommendations from MDC mamas, so that helps a lot. I have to be at the hospital at 5am on Friday. Dang, that is early!

Today I'm going to cut my hair, go to the library to get comics for DH to read during downtime at the hospital, and finish up working on the baby's room.

oh if dh can't go I'm not going. Thankfully the office doesn't open until 1:30 today and my appmnt is at 4:15 so he has time to find someone to watch the kids.

I need to get up and eat, go to the bathroom etc and I'm avoiding it because I know its going to hurt when I stand.

I suppose I can take a nice hot bath, that should feel good and I do have my appmnt this afternoon (maybe)

My poor kids are going crazy waiting for the baby to come
DD was crying again yesterday saying how she was tired of waiting for the baby to come. How are the other older kids holding out? What are you doing to make the wait easier for them?

DS1 was 6 when dd was born so he could understand the wait a lot better and when the twins were born dd was only 17mths so she didn't understand too much about the wait. This is new territory for me

Your poor DD! It must be so hard on them - I know how impatient both DH and I are, I can only imagine how long it feels to a 4 year old! I don't have other children so I have no advice, just
s!

OK, so I mentioned earlier already that the baby is moving so much today and I just had to come on and say he still hasn't stopped! I really feel like he is trying to break out of my abdomen!
I have to keep putting my hand where his little butt or leg or whatever it is at the moment keeps poking out!! It's very bizzare - and I like it
. I just hope he is really trying to move on down! I keep thinking that the reason he isn't engaging is because of the amount of amniotic fluid I have in there! That must have something to do with it, don't you think?

I went back to bed and had a few more ctx, but sure enough they stopped. They were quite painful so I was really thinking that was it! Maybe they got me dilated at least just a little bit or at least got my cervix softened. From what I understand Braxton Hicks aren't supposed to be painful and these buggas hurt enough where I couldn't do much but writhe.

Sigh, I'm going to be tempted to let my OB check me today now, but I do hate doing that since my cervix is generally so high.
:

Michanders: I've got the painful kicks going on too, I have to rub the presenting part until DS gets the hint and moves it. I so want to share each time, but it freaks out DH and DS (who is 2), so unless I start grabbing strangers its just between me and baby.

Az: hot bath sounds like a plan, especially if I'm going to let my OB go vagina wrestling to try and find my cervix.

was up early feeling wierd, posted about that aleady seperatly. Went to my appt this morning and am still 3 cent and 80-90% effaced. Felt like crying when she said that. I'm just done. They couldn't find anything wrong with me either to explaint he weirdness this morning.

Sent dh back to work.

sigh

if baby doesn't come today then we can't see relatives for easter or celebrate dd's birthday with anyone.

i'm still in prodromal labor land. and it sucks so much.
i think it may be because she's not quite in the right position. i think she's a bit posterior or something... it's so hard for me to tell where she is, though. anyway...i've been reading spinningbabies.com a lot today and discovered that i really shouldn't be sitting on my recliner all day long.
so i'm gonna start sitting on the birthing ball instead. maybe that will help her stay in position so that when contractions happen she can spend her time moving DOWN rather than turning back again.

we'll see.

oh, and my friend is gonna do some reflexology on me today. whee!

DH and i *thought* about dtd to get things moving, but honestly...my SPD is just too excruciating and i can't bear the thought of doing it. so no prostoglandins for me today.

Sounds like a great plan! You and I are only due a day apart. My EDD is 4/11. Hope today or tomorrow is it for us!!!!

. I have a NST tomorrow (41 weeks). I'm hoping not to make it (tho no signs of labor ensuing), but does it take a long time? Should I bring a book or something. DH won't be going with me this time.

Maybe...but weren't you saying you were having a lot of pubic bone/pelvic pain? Maybe he has descended some...plus some babies don't move down til labor...I haven't 'dropped' yet.

And if you're in a chair, sit on the edge and lean forward...there's tons of tricks..good luck!

Well, 41 weeks tomorrow. Ugh. C'mon baby....let's do this thing. I'm hoping for tonight
:. Then I don't have to do the 41 week appt.
