Starting the new thread because it's 3AM EST. And I'm awake and bored.

So, my question: does losing bits of your mucus plug count when it's because of straining during a BM? I've lost some twice today because of that. Was about 2cm last Wednesday and "real thin." It wasn't bloody, but it doesn't have to be, right?

I hope this thread is slow today because we're all giving birth! 13 is a very lucky number!

I have had such a bad night of sleep! I went to bed so late because of a late nap and I tossed and turned so much. At one point I had a horrible pain in my right side and I started panicking wondering what would happen if I needed my appendix out at this point in time. Clearly an overreaction, but the pain kept me up for awhile!

I am not sure about the mucus plug question - but it sounds like it should count to me!

I hope 13 is a lucky number for me! I will tell you, I know I said the Braxton Hicks contractions were bothering me yesterday but today my complaint is that I'm getting sick of the painful contraction that I feel every time I empty my bladder. Is anyone else experiencing this?

On a happy note, DH and I had a wonderful date night last night. We went out for pizza and ice cream and a movie!!!!

Agreed, I just get frustrated very easily. This is probably good for me.

Me, this morning. Another contraction woke me in the middle of the night. Peanut doesn't seem to like them... kicking & punching through the whole thing. But, yeah, this morning I got up and peed and wooooo!

Come on lucky 13! This is the gestation that my dd came out, so we'll see. I still say he's hearing the place is a mad house and staying where he is!

I'm so hoping I don't make it to my appointment this week, but I'll probably make it
I really wanted baby before then. 4 weeks at 3 cent and 80% effaced - come on already! Grrrr

Lol you sound like me with the appendix worry! I was thinkig the identical thing last night!

I've had contractions for a while now every time I pee. The one ob said maybe from a uti but checked and it was clear. I still get it. One suggested I wasn't drinking enough water and I upped it, but still get them, so no clue.

We tried to go out for pizza as well. But our town totally sucks and the 2 pizza places were both closed for Easter - grrr

Lucky 13!! Dh was born on the 13th (of Dec)!

I've been having crampy contrax this early morning every 5 or so min--I think they may be getting stronger. I finally got up to pay more attention and see if they are going to do anything. 3 days past LMP EDD (the one I'm actually using
), but 7 days past ultrasound EDD. Got to be soon right?? I'm so EXCITED!! I still feel really good though. I just sent DH to work about 20 min. ago. because I'm not sure of anything yet and figured if he stayed here, they'd stop LOL... We'll see how it goes!

Michelle--we do have the same due date! I am wishing you labor vibes!!!

ETA: I just had a little blood when I wiped!! That should be a good sign huh??

It's dark and rainy here in Iowa...we have nothing on the calendar. I do have someone coming to buy my two cloth dipes so that's good but other than that I guess DD and I will just be buming around. I thought about going to the mall to walk around and help things keep moving but getting the stroller out in the rain doesn't sound like fun.

Today is the same gestation DD was born too. I've been at a 3 and 70% effaced for 1 1/2 weeks...so feeling the same (though 4 weeks is long!)

Not experiencing many ctx and not while peeing, but I'd guess it's fine. Glad you had a good date night. DH and I need to do this sometime this weekend I think...but I keep thinking baby will come soon and don't want to wear out Grandma as our sitter!

Good morning, everyone.

I also slept really badly. I was tossing and turning while making loud noises, so DH evacuated after about an hour. This went on all night. I woke up probably ten times total. This morning, LO refused to move for an hour or so - he seems to change his sleeping schedule daily - but in the last twenty minutes, he's been kicking, squirming, and boxing. And he also has started to make this movement that feels as if he's screwing his head into my pelvis. It hurts like hell. I wouldn't mind if he came today, even though tomorrow would be even better.

Now, I'm off to my last week at work. Luckily, all I have to do is read some papers and listen to presentations. And hope LO does not continue to look for the exit as aggressively as a few minutes ago.

Sarah - I think only bloody mucus plug counts. Otherwise no dilation.

Michelle and Murph - Maybe those bladder ctx is what you've been waiting for. Hoping for you, they are becoming more frequent and regular.
:

Nancy - hang in there.

daisyem - Something is happening. Good luck.

I also barely slept last night. I'm so tired, I really need to sleep, I half jokingly told DH this morning that I was going to a hotel tonight. It's either that I can't sleep, DD2 wakes up constantly needing mama, or DD1 wakes up and is wide wake, she is apparently developing insomnia as well. Last night it was all 3.

And I'm 39 weeks today. I never would of thought that I still would of been pg, I've never made it to 39 weeks before.

I didn't sleep so good last night either. DD woke up screaming twice last night and at 11pm finally we figured out she was constipated due to the amount of sweets she had yesterday. I knew she was having too much but I get from DH "oh it's Easter". No sweets for her this week!!! So we were up with her for an hour in the bath and she finally got some out and then I laid with her in bed with a rice pack on her belly till she finally fell asleep. She woke good but now I think she's getting a cold. Runny nose and just clingy. I was so worried about going into labor last night with her being like that, I just don't know if I could have left her with Grandma like that. It's so hard being a mommy some days!

I ended up on the sofa as my hips hurt in bed too much.

Sigh, I know. That's my problem right now. DD2 is only 2.5, she feels that her life is changing so of course she regresses and is needy/clingy. I want to be there for her, she didn't ask to get booted out of her position as the baby. DD1 has anxiety issues, she has been doing great for a couple weeks now at night, even sleeping in her own bed again finally at age 6, but now she wakes up at 11:30 or so and is up until 2am, she is too scared to be up by herself.

I guess I need to drag myself off the couch, take a shower and then find something to do with girls today. I haven't been making any plans because I keep thinking any day now, I don't have the energy to entertain them myself though.

With my last 2 boys I never saw any sign of "losing the mucus plug." In fact, I joked with my doc, at the time, that I just don't even have one. I walked around dilated to 3cm for the last 3 weeks of both pg. Never any sign of blood or mucus or change in discharge (blah blah blah, all that fun stuff they ask you!) So, I hope for you who are experiencing changes that means baby is coming soon! My U/S EDD is today but technically MW says not till Sat. So, I guess that means I have another 2 weeks. LOL. That's the worst waiting game in the world, good thing there's a decent prize!

I'm trying the low-key things to encourage baby... LONG walk to and from dinner, DTD, watched a movie on the birth ball, ah well, nothing doing.

Ah well, I am not even 39 weeks so I shouldn't be too anxious, its just I am at a stopping point with work and its SO unmotivating to start a bunch of new stuff when I *know* I will just be interrupted! I can't just take months and months totally off, but I know I will take a full month where I don't try to be productive.

: Labor vibes to the ladies who are waiting!
Sending hugs to those who need one.

I was up 4:30 - 6 this morning. I was just hungry.
Baby doesn't feel any lower. I saw my MW at the local music festival on Saturday. She and her asst. will be coming for a home visit tonight. I'll ask her to check my cervix. It will be my first pelvic exam this pregnancy. It's been nice not to be bothered, but I am starting to get curious.
My mother blessing will be on Wednesday. I guess baby is welcome to arrive any time after that ...

My family issues are still going on, but all my family members live in New England, so I can keep my distance for this last part of pregnancy. I've claimed the last month of both my previous pregnancies for peaceful birth preparation. Today is the first day that I won't be taking phone calls from my family. It isn't easy to do - DP will be checking my voice mail and may return some calls to explain. I have six sisters, so my phone can be quite busy some days ... Of course, they are all on my call list for the baby announcement - I have a friend in charge of making those calls.

I'm ignoring my mother again today.
Well, I took a shower, got kids dressed and fed and that was it. I used up all my energy doing that so now they are watching a movie while I'm ignoring the beautiful day outside. As much as I hate to take a nap because then I can't go to sleep yet again at night, I'm going to have to do today. Now only to convince Gabrielle that she needs to nap today....

Im too worn out to respond to everyone but Im going to later!!! I really want to give big hugs to everyone today! The end is SOO close but every minute seems like hours!!! Im getting REALLY antsy.

I didnt lose any mucus plug or have ANY bleeding til I was in labor!! Im thinking it will be the same this time, too.

Actually had fun with DH and DTD last night for the first time in a month! Felt "twinges" down "there" but nothing significant.

Im officially saying "days" when referring to my EDD. Im 12 days away now.

Eh, Im gonna take a a nap...

This is sooo me. DD has been asking for me to play all day loooong and I just can't get myself to play little people...I did do a puzzle with her and will paint later this afternoon, but right now we are going to watch a movie together and take a nap. It's sooo gloomy out it's all I can do.

I didn't experience any of the stuff last time and this time the discharge is probably due to yeast infection I have. So not sure if I'll have those signs this time or not. This pregnancy has been sooo different, wouldn't surpirse me.

Good for you! I'm avoiding a return phone call to my sister as she is having drama with my other sister and I just don't have the energy or desire to deal with it. I too have DH check my email or phone messages when there are family issues as I just don't want to allow myself to get caught up in the unnecessary emotional drama at times, especially when I know the email/call will be negative at me, it just isn't worth it. I can't imagine with 6 sisters!

Okay gonna watch that movie and take a nap with DD...
