hi ladies<br><br>
i have recently quit all dairy products, but chocolate has been hard. i have been having a "cutie" ice cream sandwich every night for desert and that helps, but i would like more choices. i tried to sodelicious ice cream and it just tastes like frozen soy milk. any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I don't eat ice cream so can't help ya there, but for chocolate bars and hot chocolate you can look here:<br><a href="http://www.downbound.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=chocolate&Click=2313&gclid=CMvvj4Dx_Y8CFQIUPAodiQdILQ" target="_blank">http://www.downbound.com/SearchResul...FQIUPAodiQdILQ</a><br><a href="http://www.chocolatebar.com/index.asp" target="_blank">http://www.chocolatebar.com/index.asp</a><br><br>
Endangered Species (second link) has really tasty chocolate bars. Not all are vegan but most of their dark bars are - just make sure to double check if you're buying one.

Green & Black's has quite a few dairy-free chocolates - all organic, some fair trade. Rapunzel has a few, too, but IMO G&B wins for smoothness.<br><br>
As for ice cream, Whole Soy & Co. makes an organic frozen soy yogurt that tastes creamier to me than So Delicious - my favorite was chocolate hazelnut, but the Swiss dark chocolate was decent. The best vegan ice cream I've come across from the store has been Good Karma's Organic Rice Divine - it has a better mouth-feel than any of the soy ice creams I've tried, although there's no straight chocolate flavor.

I second the WholeSoy recommendation; chocolate hazelnut and swiss chocolate are the best non-dairy frozen things I've had, ever.<br><br>
For excellent vegan chocolate, check out Rose City Chocolates: <a href="http://www.rosecitychocolates.com/vegan-chocolate-selection.html" target="_blank">http://www.rosecitychocolates.com/ve...selection.html</a><br>
Their prices may seem a bit high, but have recently been reduced, and are infinitely worth it for an indulgence. (The filled chocolate assortment rivals any boxed stuff I've tasted.)

I really like the ricemilk chocolate bars. I buy them at my health food store, the one with almonds. It's got 12 squares, so I ration out two a day to last almost a week.<br><br>
I make the Vegan with a Vengeance chocolate chip cookies. Yum!
