Does anyone know of any daycare providers in the immediate Worcester area?

I return to Nursing school the first week of September and it's not looking like my daycare provider will be able to care for my children. She had back surgery and they found advanced osteoperosis while they were in there

I figured I'd start here before going through the referral service I used last time.

Hey, Michelle! Did you want home or center? Does Quinsig (is that where you are going in the fall?) have anything?

Probably home. It's what I've always used. I guess I wouldn't completely rule out a center but I really like the home environment if they have to be in daycare.

QCC does have a program for children 15mo+. They use QCC students for staff which doesn't give me a very warm & fuzzy feeling. I've been in classes with some early childhood ed students and it's surprising that some of them made it out of high school. I'm sure they're not all like that but I'm not taking any chances with my kiddies.

Can I make a suggestion?

: Check out QCC's daycare...I have seen some college daycares, and having worked in ECE myself, was impressed. Reason being, they tend to be VERY well supervised, and progressive because it IS a college, and the students/staff are working there as part of their course credits/requirements. Not all are great, but before you rule it out...I will also keep my eye out for home daycares for you also...
