&%#@!*&% Daylight Savings Time!!!!: a vent

I have had a problem for months with my DD who wants to stay up late and sleep in-- like until 10 or 11 some days. It is a real problem because I work in the late afternoon and evening as a tutor, so that the morning is my only chance to get out of the house and DO something. So about two weeks ago I finally got her convinced to sleep reasonable hours, after months of gently nudging her into sleeping earlier and earlier.

And now BANG here goes the stinking time change, and all my good work is undone. It's 9:15 and she's still out cold, and seeing as how she was up until after 10, and up a million times, she's going to be sleeping at least another hour, I'd bet.

Thank you for letting me get this out, ladies. I know I should be glad she's sleeping AT ALL. Some mamas aren't even that lucky, and I know that. I'll go away now and count my blessings.....

And I LOVE the time change because my babe that was waking at 5am every morning, slept in!

I can understand the frustration though...just as you find something that WORKS...

I have an early riser-so I thought the time change would be good for me, but nope she was up before 7 AGAIN!
I'm right there with you. Indiana is just now doing DST and I'm really PO'd. To make it worse...

We just hung on through a whole month of sleep disturbances (nightmares for dd who was waking 2-3 times a night and bedwetting for ds) and the kids were falling asleep all by themselves at 8:30-9 every night. Last night they were just falling asleep around 10.
: I thought it was soooo nice that dh and I had some quiet time every night before I fell asleep, I mean passed out... so much for that... soon we'll have a baby so that will throw things off too.

And my body is sooooo wacked out. It felt like 4:51am when I got up this morning to workout- oh, that's because it IT IS... it's just my clock that's different.

the time change always screws things up around here big time! i was just starting a new later bedtime for our 2 year old and now it's going to be an even later bedtime. and i woke her up this morning! unthinkable!
My two are up at 5:30-6am every day so we were looking forward to the time change. This morning we all woke up at 7am. Ahhhhhh......to think....7am is sleeping in
. Now let's see if it lasts.

I am feeling the pain, my little one seems only to recognize the time change in the evening when he refuses to go to sleep for at least an hour after normal bedtime, but in the morning he's up with the sun! I'm so tired but he wakes up so happy it's hard to be mad when he's smiling and telling me all the things he wants to do, handing me my glasses and telling me he's ready for breakfast. I just want to roll over and go back to sleep! Today it rained and he slept until 7 I thought I died and went to heaven.
