So...All of the AIOs I have and have tried lately, Braedon has peed out of in a short period of time. I need an AIO or pocket, something trim that is going to work when we are out, I dont want to bring an extra pair of clothes everytime Im out thinking, I WILL NEED this, I want the extra outfit to sit in the diaperbag for days/weeks/months b/c I dont have to use it. I remember in the beginning, I had FB's for nightime and they never leaked, so I am considering them for daytime, mostly just for going out but I NEED a trim solution. An InfantPF in the FB just isnt very trim and Im wondering if there is a trimmer daytime but leakproof option to stuff in the FB for going out under clothes. We are very short on cash so Id have to sell one of my prized posessions for the FB and I need to make sure they'll do before I do this, or does anyone with a super soaker in the daytime have a better option (def somewhat trim fitting) or any suggestions?

Well, it isn't one of the options you mentioned, but how about a hemp fitted or an indian prefold with a hemp doubler covered by a nylon pull-on? (Alexis Featherlite?)

Very trim if you pick the right fitted (maybe an Ecobunz second?) and very leak-proof! My Ecobunz can last three hours if ds is too busy for a diaper change, and the price is right!

Fuzzi Bunz are my most reliable leak-proof daytime diaper. If he gets really wet, they'll wick, but I have to really be neglectful for that to happen.

That's just my experience though - DS is a heavy wetter, but I wouldn't call him a super soaker or anything.

I have had great experience so far with Valor Kids as well, but they're hard to find.

I would advise buying a FB off the TP and trying it first to make sure it will work for you.
But it sure works for us.

What do you stuff with for daytime?

I just switched from hemp jb inserts to all microfiber - i actually just bought a pack of 16 for $7 from target, trifolded it, and stuffed it in an fb. it is longer by about 2 in than what I needed so I trimmed them

www.naturalbabies.com and www.cottonbabies.com have good deals on fb, so does www.fuzzibunzstore.com

oh, another option - www.greenacredesigns.com - her solid pul pockets are awesome - and trim! I think you would want med side snap for braedon
Julia is 27 lbs, 35.5 inches tall and the large fits on the tightest snaps. Better yet they are $14 and come with a hemp insert. She stocks customs and instock on thursdays

I stuff FBs with 2 hemp Joey Bunz - one folded in the front, the other as is. DS is definately a super soaker (less so now) and rarely leaks if at all. I agree that they will wick if I go too long without a change. The only time I have leak issues is when DH doesn't snap them snug enough!

Interestingly though I've never used FBs at night, I've always used sposies with a Bummi wrap.

I was using FB almost all the time and we never had a single leak. Ethan can go all night with two MOE microfiber inserts. They are soaked in the morning, but the hold like the hoover dam

Now that I have acquired more AIOs and Ethan is becoming less of a heavy wetter I am selling my fuzzi bunz and just hanging on to a few for night. I bet you could find something to trade for FB and inserts if you wanted to try them.

That would save you the hassle of selling and buying.

I agree, our FBs have much less wicking or leaking than any other pockets or AIOs that we have tried. We rarely/never have wicking at the leg even if it is soaked after nap, unlike HHs or VBs. That's why I stick with the FB even though I don't love the fit as well.

We stuff them with a JB insert or a 3 layer microterry insert. It's pretty trim with few problems under clothes except the diaper peeking out at the top of the pants in the back.

I really like my VB AIOs. Ds is a pretty heavy wetter and we've never had them leak or wick at all. Even when the diaper is totally saturated! They are very trim, IMO. DS can wear them under jeans easily.

I've seen a few on the TP recently, so you should be able to try one at a resonable price.

HTH!

Another vote for Fuzzibunz.
When I need to make sure DS will be leakproof for long periods of time, FB have never let me down. The MOE are absorbant and trim and even better is a Joeybunz with a microfiber towel wrapped around it. You get the quick absorbancy of the microfiber and the hemp of the JB can hold tons of wetness before they wick.

I wanted to add that if you are looking for uber trim, you might be happier with a Joey Bunz than a MOE insert. The MOE inserts are fairly trim, but definitely puffier than a Joey Bunz. I have never had trouble fitting Ethan into any "normal" clothing, even Jeans, in the proper size when he is in a FB with a Joey

and I might be able to help you out with a trade if you'd like. I know how things can get tight with a new baby
