Okay, I feel really dumb. we've been splitting up on the cosleeping - DH with our 3yo most nights on the floor and I with the baby. DH is out of town and we both thought our 3yo would be fine in our bed with me and the baby in the cosleeper. Our 3yo has never slept in a bed with guardrails, only in a regular bed with one of us or her own bed pushed against a wall. I feel awful! And what to do tonight? There are no walls to push our bed against (an HVAC unit on one side and a closet on the other and no headboard on our bed). Oh, dear.

Would pillows work? I don't know if that would help a 3 YO - I have a 10.5 month old. When we were at my friend's house & it was just us in the bed with no wall there, I put some pillows around her on the other side. That would at least stop DC if he started rolling?

Ah, yes, I think that'll help. And cushions on the floor. I am sooo tired these days it is hard to see the simplest solutions.
