Here is a great link to some information on side impact crash tests, how most vehicles rated, and the types of side airbags are also discussed. Thanks for the link! We just bought a new car last Tuesday. Luckily, our car rated as a Best Pick. Whew! I like the Institute for Highway Safety because of their use of off-set crash testing. In a crash, you are more likely to have this type of accident than a direct head on. I have been in four accidents, all very minor, and only one would be considered head on. Actually, it more like we were the green filling between two cars.
