Dd had been playing outside yesterday so when I put her down for nap, I took off her dirty pants and let her sleep in her diaper (a happy heiny) and a shirt. I peeked in on her after a bit and saw this bare bum sticking up in the air. So I thinks to meeself "that doesn't look right!" When I peeked further in the room I saw that her bed, her bottom, and her baby dolls were covered in poo and her dirty diaper was thrown on the floor. She was sleeping in poo - AAAAAAACK! I immediately woke her up and popped her in the shower then went to work cleaning up the bedroom - icky! So I guess from now on it is either snaps for bed or make sure she is wearing pants.

Hi Laura!

Congrats on your new new baby. Glad to hear you all are well. My dd will take her diaper off, no matter if it's snaps or velcro. We have had many poopy encounters. Luckily, she will not mess with it. Usually she's on one side of the crib and the poop is on the other. We have to now make sure she is wearing shorts or pants over her diaper although we have had one situation where she got her shorts and diaper off!

Billy does it too and I mostly use side snapping diapers, which are supposed to be harder to get out of. He is also very srong willed and refuses to sleep in clothes! He hasn't pooped in the bed yet thank goodness but we have had our fair share of pees. Now I gotta start figuring out how to get him to sleep with clothes on now that it is getting cooler. I say, if she will sleep with clothes on just go for that.

DD will always take her dipe off if we don't get pants on her right away, although she will usually leave it alone if she is just wearing a dress.

Lately she had been sticking her hands down her dipe, I know we'll have poop all over everything one of these days.

Ugh! Emily will take her diaper off too - but only first thing in the morning when she first wakes up. Convieniently enough that's also when she poops: We have her in a crib thats pushed up right against my side of the bed now...she's way too much of a tosser and turner in her sleep for her to share the bed anymore In any case, there were a couple of times, that she would wake me up not by sounding off or even reaching over and touching me like she used to - but rather by tossing a poop filled dipe at me Talk about gross lol...maybe it's her way of paying me back for sticking her in the crib One time I even woke up and through blurry eyes caught a glimpse of something not quite right - sat up to see her in the midst of trying to "finger paint" if you kwim...OMG! Since then I have to put those one piece jammies on her (footless ones) and turn them around backwards so they zip up the back! (Yes she will unzip them if the zipper is in front: )
