My DD 16 months old today, weaned after a small cold 2 weeks ago. She had a really stuffy nose and she was having a hard time nursing. I think she decided it was too difficult and she was too sick to care. I guess I imagined in my head that I would have time to mentally prepare for this time, I envisioned nursing untill she was 2 at least. She is growing up and mommy is having a hard time with weaning not baby. I know that you mammas understand and I just need a pitty party. Thanks

That was my thought as well. My dd is 16 months right now and I can't imagine letting her wean right now even if she wanted to..
This must be tough for you mama
We went through the weaning process a few times through a few months (but at age 3 +), but when he would get hurt or really crabby, I nursed him and he was more than willing at these times!!! Many times, I'd think..."this is probably the last time we'll nurse." And a week later, he was nursing again. Just because you haven't nursed in awhile doesn't mean it's over!
