So I'm going to copy and paste something from my LiveJournal. Basically, I was home yesterday and someone tried to break in. I had terrible cramps yesterday after everything settled down (and a charlie horse in my left foot that woke me up last night) and didn't sleep well last night. I have felt the baby move today and I'm not cramping now, so I'm not too worried about the baby, but I can feel the stress rolling off of me and the doc said there isn't anything I can take. I'm 18 weeks pregnant. I just want to relax, but I'm not sure what I can do.

Copied From My LJ...More Details about the attempted break in. You can skip if you want...
"In other news my husband and I were home yesterday and someone tried to break in. Here's the short version of how it all went down. Some Mexican looking guy knocked on our front door. I went and looked through the peep hole and didn't answer it because I didn't know the guy and I was like whatever you're sellin' I ain't buyin'. So I sit back down on the couch and then someone is in our porch and I dial 9-1-1 as the guy is using a screw driver to try and open our sliding glass door. My husband pushed back the curtains and the guy got scared and ran so my husband took off out the front door to see where he went. Meanwhile, I'm telling the 9-1-1 operator who keeps telling me to stay on the phone with her (AS IF I WAS GOING TO HANG UP!) everything the guy was wearing and what's happening and which way he was going. Two cop cars showed up and they set up a perimeter and they had cop doggie who didn't get to see any action because the cops caught the bastards. Yes bastards with an S. There were TWO of them. The one I saw at the front door and the one my husband scared off. So my husband had to ID one guy and I had to ID another. Much fun was had by all. The one cop stayed with me when my husband took a ride in the other cop car and he was like "Congratulations on the pregnancy, but I'm sorry about the dirt bags." He was really nice. The guy my husband saw was on probation and only had three months left. (Sorry buddy.) And the other guy I saw was "a really bad guy" and will "probably get a couple of years for this because of his history" or so the cops said. So YAY for catching two bad guys and BOO for nearly getting robbed.

Needless to say I didn't sleep well last night. I'm not sure if it's from the stress or because my husband went into work at 3am this morning and I normally don't sleep well without him. Either way I'm really tired right now. We're going to get some quotes on an alarm system. I'm not sure how we'd afford the extra bill a month, but we'll see."

Oh! (((((((((HUGE HUG!))))))))))))

Yeah, that would stress anyone out... let alone a pregnant momma. Sorry you had to have a day like that, followed by a rough night, but I am so glad your husband was home with you and that things worked out the way they did.

I will usually try some prenatal yoga or guided relaxation to relieve stress. Sometimes if you can get your muscles to let go of some of the tension, the rest of you follows. If you don't have access to anything on DVD, there are probably some nice meditations online or you can just lay on your side, start at your toes and relax every muscle from your toes to your head. Start by breathing in and flexing the muscle (be careful with the legs and feet), then breath out and let the tension release as you slowly breath out.

Takes a while to unwind from such a high-adrenalin situation, so be patient with yourself.

Thank you. It's okay. My big tough army husband was home to chase after the bad guys.

Thank you very much. I used to be big into meditation, but since I got pregnant I haven't been able to do it. I just can't focus. Maybe it's time to try again. I don't know why I didn't think about it.
