My girls are 16 months apart. It was a BIG surprise but it is also such a blessing! I nursed through my pregnancy and tandem nursed for over 2 years
The first few months are the hardest when your newborn needs you but your toddler is still such a baby, it was hard. Now they play together marvelously! They keep each other occupied and there is lots of imaginary play. Accept whatever help is offered to you from friends and family and don't worry about small stuff like housework - if everyone is alive and fed at the end of the day it was a success
