Wow! We are talkative this month! :LOL I've never started a thread, so I thought it might be cool to. I can hardly keep up anymore. Anywho... I'm lovin all the "baby legs" & noddin' my head in understanding at all the colds... both my little goobers have been sick on & off the last couple weeks. It makes me insane to nurse them when they can't breathe through their noses, yk? Latch on, latch off, latch on, latch off, fuss, pull w/ teeth... And I'm feeling guilty because I can't do much of anything to help them. Thankfully, they both seem to be getting better.

Aiden is taking 2-3 steps constantly & integrating longer steps in all the time -- he traveled about 4 foot yesterday -- he's getting pretty stable. I think he's also saying "night-night" "mama" and "no-no." It may be my imagination, but he really seems to be using them in context. Tonight I was telling Ian I was going to give him night-night nurse & Aiden comes crawlin' at my full force fussin' & using the baby growly voice "ehhhh nighhh-nighhh ehhh!" :LOL Poor kid, they're always ready for bed at the same time, but Ian usually goes down first as he's absolutely, insanely miserable (therefore making everyone else miserable) if he doesn't! Aiden is happy to play w/ dh, though.

Kathy- you're in my prayers; I cannot believe everything you're having to go through. Keep bein' strong, mama.

Does anyone else's baby (almost toddler!! ) HATE clothes? I put bib overalls on Aiden the other day & he ripped at them & cried/fussed until I took them off him! And he will yank at diapers & push them away when I'm trying to put them on him -- although he's a bit less upset if I change him standing up. Good grief -- he's obsessed with playing with his penis...and trying to "splash" in the pee when he goes on the floor, of course... :LOL

Oh yes, the nakedness. So very much fun to be naked. She HATES when I put on her diaper and has figured out how to take them off, so I usually throw something else over it even though I have no objection to her playing with just a diaper on. The good news is, usually once I've gotten the clothes on her she forgets about them, even overalls. Which is excellent because if she does manage to remember to try, she can get her clothes off, although she has problems getting her shirt over her head (she does eventually manage it).

Just finished the mei tai I've been working on for the last 2 weeks. I have spent every spare second getting it done, (sorry for the delay, mama ) The embroidery on the straps was done by hand. It goes out today, but I had to share!! Mei Tai

Wow that embr is so beautiful! Where did you learn how to do that? I may have to try that on mine. It's only plain unbleached color so that would be a nice touch.

Learn? :LOL I used to do vines like that all over every scrap of paper I could find during school.... I figured it couldn't be much harder to do with needle and thread (I've done quite a bit of hand piecing and quilting) so I just grabbed the box of floss I bought for a (still unfinished) cross stitch I wanted to do and started stitching. You should give it a try, it's not hard, but time consuming.

Everyone is so busy these days, sewing, camping, hiking and sick little ones. WE haven't been half so busy, just keeping up with DD and her school and soccer keep me busy! We are camping this weekend too! The heavy blanket between you and the airmatress is very good advice! We have a trailer and a heater so we are a little spoiled when it comes to camping. But its nice to be able to go no matter what the weather is like.

Niko had his 9 mo check up and is 20 lbs 5 oz, somehow he feels heavier.... He's doing good and is sleeping right now in the van and I can see and hear him from our office. I should be working until I have to pick up DD, but just wanted to post quick before this thread gets too long.

I have another clothes hater. Diaper hater. Socks hater. Hat hater.

I can't make him happy. It really sucks.

Can you tell I'm going crazy?

Rozzie HATES clothing. Right now she is in a t shirt and nothing else. Diaper changes are pure h*ll. She screams the whole time and cries these big alligator tears. I try to let her go naked as much as possible. I have even tried to start EC even though I know it is way late in the game. She won't pee in the pot though. I'll know she has to go and try to get her to pee and she holds it. She did this yesterday and peed all over her dad 2 mins later. That mei tei is beautiful Kathy. You are just so crafty.

I am so glad i found this threa dbefore it got any longer. :LOL

It's amazeing that some of the babies are walking. All Iris does is sit on her butt and scoot. She will pull herself up to the kneeling postion and let you hold her hands to stand, but she has no balance and it's almost like she doesn't like to bare weight on her legs. I am trying not to let it bother me but i feel like every other baby ever has crawled by nine months.

Kathy-That mei tai is beautiful.

Nannymom- I just wanted to tell you that I have a friend that is a speech therapist and she has a little boy that was born at the very end of December. He's not crawling yet and she had him evalutaed for physical therapy last week to find out of his development is ok. They said that he was a little delayed but not much at all. She's taking him the physical therapy twice a month for the next few. If you have good insurance and are worried there is no harm in having an eval done. I'd say that if she's now crawling or walking (some babies skip crawling) by 12 months you should have a PT eval. Please try not to worry. Babies do things in their own time. I only mention it because I spend alot of time at a pediatric therapy clinic with Meg.

Nannymom -- Sadie isn't crawling OR scooting. She hasn't been on her hands and knees unassisted for more than a couple of seconds. She does love to stand though, with help of course. I think that all babies are different and that she, (and Iris), will crawl/walk when she's ready. It's hard to hear other moms talk about their mobile babies and not wonder though, I know.

Kathy -- Your mei tai is gorgeous. Well done!

ds1 didn't do more than scoot until he was 11 months; then he crawled a bit. At 13 months he took his first steps & within a week was everywhere -- he hardly ever crawled after that.

Aiden is trying to walk everywhere now; everytime I turn around. It's so neat to see him understanding what I say, too.

I took him to the bedroom to nurse earlier cause he needed to relax a bit, & after a few minutes he was just rollin around in a mellow way & listenin' to dh & ds1 in the living room; so I said "okay Aiden, let's go play with papa & brother." He immediately rolled onto his belly to crawl off the bed, giggling all the way. :LOL :heart He played peek-a-boo around the couch with me today, too...

Love the mei-tai, Kathy -- mine saved the day today when I needed to grocery shop with a cranky 2 1/2 year old & a sleepin babe. He didn't wake until we were checking out.

Hypatia doesn't mind clothes but whenever it is time to change her diaper, she throws a fit! It is a wrestling match and even though she is so much smaller then me she puts up a real good fight and has knocked the air out of me once!!! I can't help but love the way she looks when she crys, her little eyebrow fat in the middle goes into a v shape and her bottom lip sticks out, its just sooo sweet to me but then I feel bad because I shouldn't feel so good when she is so upset.

She has been able to stand and walk a few steps since the beginning of September but hasn't improved any as a matter of fact, since she fell backwards onto her head she barely wants to walk at all.

Kathy I also had to say, the mei tai is beautiful, what a wonderful talent to have!

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a86...gofjune019.jpg

Any injuries with your babes?

Julian has two black eyes...one thats almost gone and another he got today. They're not that bad. He falls face first often, and I feel terrible that I don't catch him in time. We were in costco tonight and I was nervous people would think I hit my baby!

Timmy has had one black eye, not even sure how he got it. The dog scratched him on the back of the head, leaving two gashes. And he got one really nasty bump on the noggin, He pulled a camera off of the bookshelf and it landed on his head.
