In this article a doctor talks about whether or not he recommends circumcision. There are a lot of bad points made concerning STDs and all that, but, in the end, he sees the studies on that kind of thing to possibly have no effect in the USA and that the protection is minimal for things like UTI.

He also has great advice on care of the intact penis.

But the interesting part is right at the end when he says:

There are not enough compelling medical reasons on either side of the debate, although that debate does continue in the pediatric medical community. In my own extended family of circumcised men, I bowed to my wife's desire not to circumcise our two sons, a now public fact which may haunt them for years to come. So, discuss this not just with your doctor, but your family and spouse as well, before making a decision.

I think this is an interesting look at the effects of intactivism. If we can change just one mind, the effect is far reaching. Here we have a doctor that seems like he wanted circumcision but was stopped by his wife. No doubt this influenced the way he wrote this article and perhaps even the way he talks to his patients.

The article may not be the best, but I thought this would really lift some spirits to see the far reaching effects of changing just one mind.

I'm glad he chose to leave his sons intact and write about it. I just don't understand the logic behind talking to other family about it. People are still forgetting whose penis it is.

Also, why will his decision haunt them? Are the family members treating his children differently because they're intact? I must admit I had that thought cross my mind with my son and my dh's family. Who knows...

I read that as him saying that he is announcing in the media the status of their penises and that that may haunt them in the future--read like a joke to me.

Yes, not the worst thing I've read. And I think he was referring to the public disclosure.
