Hmmm...this is weird...This time last year I was in a DDC. The December DDC.

And here I am again. I think.

The line was faint. But I took the just a few hours after I'd already gone to the bathroom for the morning. It was still there though. That's what counts, right?

Going for a blood draw. Wish me luck!

Well, it didn't go as well as expected, or as badly as it could.

When I got there, they took a urine sample and made me wait for the results. The doctor came in and gently told me that it was negative, but gave me a script for prenatals and suggested that I see a fertility specialist. She told me that they'd still do the beta, since that's what I went in for, but to eat right, exercise, etc, for when I did get pregnant.

So as I'm paying my copay, the doctor rushes out and says, "Come back! I need to talk to you!"

So I sigh and go back and she says "Oh, it is positive! Congratulations!"

What a frustrating visit! I took another hpt this morning and it's darker, but still pretty faint. The results for the beta should be ready tomorrow.

What a heart stopping event! I'm glad your hpt's are getting darker. Let us know how your beta levels turn out.. (I assume those are your hcg levels?).

I got the results for the beta today. 8. I'm really hoping that my baby will stick, but a few hours later I got a little pink on the tp, and I don't know. All I can do now is pray.

No. I'm keeping my appointment for the 21st regardless of what happens. Do you think that I should bring it up to my doctor?

Definitely bring up anything that may concern you. Pink is not bad news unless it turns to red or you have a lot of cramping. It`s impossible not to worry though after a loss.
I`m praying too..

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Last night after a lot of blood and cramping, I ended up in the ER, where they noted that my hCG had doubled but was still very low. (16) The pain and bleeding continued through the night, so obviously it's not looking good for my baby and I.

I hope that this is a regular miscarriage as opposed to another ectopic. My doctor suggested that I come in for a D&C this afternoon, but I'm going to try to hold out till morning.

Again, I thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts.

I'm so sorry Phantaja. I agree that it doesn't sound good, but I'm hoping whatever happens, happens without complications for you.

When you talk to your doctor on the 21st, perhaps discuss a progesterone test as soon as you know you're pregnant. Some women don't make progesterone to keep an early pregnancy going - once known, they take shots/suppositories/pills until the placenta takes over at 12 weeks. It's something to consider anytime someone has early miscarriages.

Have they done an u/s to rule out an ectopic?

Many hugs and prayers...and please ask for an u/s before a D/C. Although, I believe that they do one routinely before the procedure.
