...Not to mention the Iraqi people, our planet as a whole...

Quote:
A shell coated with depleted uranium pierces a tank like a hot knife through butter, exploding on impact into a charring inferno. As tank armor, it repels artillery assaults. It also leaves behind a fine radioactive dust with a half-life of 4.5 billion years.

What? This doesn't bother anyone? We're causing tremendous harm (of all kinds, granted, but this is the newest one), the gov't is denying said harm, and the substance in question has a half life of four and a half BILLION years. Did anyone actually read the article?

I first heard about this after the first gulf war. All sorts of horrible side effects, even in the wives of the returned troops. The soldiers ejaculate burning the vaginas of their wives and girlfriends, babies born with all sorts of horrible defects. I have pictures from a medical site of the birth defects causesd by DU, but I will refrain from posting here because they are much to horrific to look at. You need a very strong stomach to see these, but they include babies born with one eye (like a cyclops) babies born without skin, without internal organs, hideously deformed limbs and faces. You can't even imagine how terrible.
