I love this article! I just found time to go through the piles of info and freebies given to me when DD was born. What I found in the breastfeeding supplies that were given to me(yes they were all labeled as for breastfeeding moms):

5 samples of formula
5 nipples that will only fit the pre-filled formula bottles
1 diaper
2 single uses of diaper rash cream
2 packs of wipes-each with 6 wipes
3 breastmilk storage bottles
1 ice pack
1 cooler bag for a single bottle
OVER 30 advertisements for formula-"closest to breastmilk" "complete nutrition" ect.
and the "helpful" breastfeeding guide with advice-

--After 2-3 weeks introduce a bottle to be given by your partner while you sleep to stay rested(no mention of pumping to put EBM in bottle OR that this will reduce milk supply)
--WHEN you begin supplimenting with formula...(half of the breastfeeding book is dedicated to supplimenting then weaning, also it makes it sound like supplimenting is something you will HAVE to do)
-- you will need to have bottles for when you go out(no mention again of what to put in them...) so you can feed baby with minium of hassles(in formulaland there is no such thing as NIP)

This should be illegal IMO. Sorry for the rant.
