Why does he need to be convinced? What is your aim here? Does he do the cooking?<br><br>
Not like soaking them is going to cause harm...

<p>He doesn't think they're going to cause harm and he doesn't do the cooking.  He just wants "evidence".  I told him I would ask on here, so I'm hoping someone can help</p>

<p>I hope that was enough for him, I don't like to rely on wikipedia but it's hard to find much on phytic acid outside of food blogs! </p>

<p>I have run into stuff here and there, but I think most of the articles were in relation to a specific nutrient and deficiencies caused by excessive intake of phytic acid. In fact, I believe I was just reading article on the NIH website regarding zinc deficiency and phytic acid. Here's some:</p>

<p>check out the book/cookbook nourishing traditions by sally fallon for more info on soaking grains.  very informational and gives recipies too!</p>
