Dh smoking bumming me out

Dh smokes alot. Like 300$ a month alot. That is about 3 packs a day. He works on the road- so he never can not smoke.
Anyhow- we are moving again and I would really like to be able to buy a house. However we will be stuck renting a cruddy place most likely because of his smoking. And then when we go to buy- we can not afford a nicer house- I am talking above 50,000- because of his smoking. He makes a decent salary- but I can not make ends meet because of his smoking and additional excessive spending. I just do not know what to do. I am so sick of being poor- while he goes on and acts like he can buy whatever he wants. And then he is the one who complains about not being able to get what he wants!
I just do not know what to do!
I can not make him quit smoking- he says he wants to- but I say bullshit- if you wanted to you would.
I am busy trying to sell things on ebay etc- to make an extra 10$ for food and bills while he spends taht a day on cigs.
