Kate has a red bottom since last night so today I was at work and talking to DH on the phone. I suggested he put her in a fitted with one of the wool covers so her bum could get more air. he usually uses prefolds or AIOs. So I got home and she was in a HH. I asked him about the wool cover, had he used the new one and had it leaked (it's really thin jersey). He said it had. SO then I find in the pail both the new jersey cover (very soaked) and my SP wool cover, just damp. I asked had he used both? He hemmed and hawed around then admitted he had used the jersey one as a dipe covered with the SP!
No wonder it leaked all over everything! Time for another lesson in cloth. I think I better wash that jersey cover. :LOL

Yeah, I usually hide the wool too. To be fair I don't think he was actually the one to put them in the diaper pail, I think a friend did that, trying to be helpful and he certainly wouldn't know any better. You really have to
my DH, he's a SAHD and really would rather not be CDing at all but goes along and does his best (even if sometimes it makes me cringe). I really have too much variety in the stash, he can't keep it all straight. As long as there are prestuffed HHs or AIOs with the soakers all matched up he does fine, he will even snappy a prefold
! So I didn't fuss too much at him

Your DH is doing better than mine.
My DH avoids diaper changes at all costs. He tries to be tricky and hand dd off to me when he thinks it's about time for a diaper change. I also have too much variety in my stash and I think he is just afraid of messing up. Sometimes he puts a cover on an AIO, 'cause he wants to be on the safe side. That's fine with me. Our daycare worker, however, always puts covers over my fleece AIO's and it drives me crazy. I try to just send fitteds with covers, so dd is not getting a double waterproof layer. With just a cover, hopefully she's still getting some air to the bottom. Anyway, we must give these wonderful guys a break and just smile when they do something silly like that.
At least they're letting us CD. I know a few AP moms that would love to be CD'ing, but their DH said NO-WAY! I don't know what I would have done if my dh was against it. Probably would have gone for it anyway.

Dh has changed two cloth diapers. After Wesley was born he *did me a favor
* and took Ellie with him on some errands. I asked how long he was going to be and he goes "Oh, I dunno... when her diaper needs changing I'll be back"

Well when they came home he HAD changed her diaper, but the cover was on insideout and she was soaked from the car ride home... he was like "I wondered why it was such a #[email protected]@ to snap"

I think he did that on purpose so that I wouldnt make him change her again. But I just smiled and was like
good job, thanks for changing her diaper!
