My 3 mo had bronchitis right before Christmas and we ended up treating with antibiotics...but he has had diahrea ever since. The pedi recommended lactinex, but I wasn't sure if that was okay for my babe. She also wanted me to give him vitamin d and iron supplements, so I'm, not totally sure if she knows what she is talking about. Would the probiotic I take affect him? is there something better?

TIA

Your baby needs a probiotic of his own- with bifido bacteria, not acidophilus. Why the D and iron though? I don't know what lactinex is.

Hi,

I found this link for you:

http://www.drugdigest.org/DD/DVH/Use...ctinex,00.html

My youngest dd came home from the NICU w/a nasty infection (C. difficile). They put her on antibiotics and I gave her something formulated for babies:

http://www.naturesway.com/NaturesWay...productid=6881

I wasn't breastfeeding as she wasn't able but I understand that if you take this supplement it will be present in your bm.

It REALLY helped stop the diarrhea!

Good luck!
