Diaper depression (or why am I so dumb?)

I waited two months to place a custom orders for some dipes I love, and IU just got them. I love the prints, but the dipes are enormous on my little man. I had mediums in the same type of dipe, and they barely fit him, so I went with larges. Um, that was a big mistake. The rise is way too high, and they're even way too big around the waist.
This is why I usually just look at pretty dipes and don't buy them. I waited forever to order these, and now DS can't even wear them.

Should I just sell them on the TP or keep them and hope he gains 10 lbs and grows 5 inches in the next month?

I do the same thing!!!! I usually sell them cause I am impatient and can't let them just sit in the drawer. What kind are they? Would *I* want them
LOL
I'm so sorry, that DOES suck

I'm sorry... I know how that can be. I have a ton of diapers that fit Emma much better before she started moving so I got a ton more and right away she thined down from crawling and now they are too big... I am thinking of selling mine, but maybe I will keep a few cause she is not quite 11 months so I know she will get bigger eventually.
I would say hang on to them. Especially if it took you a while to get them.
I have two Knickernappies that I accidentally bought toddler size but I'm holding onto them. I figure ds's got another year in diapers and he's in a large in other diapers now so he's bound to be able to fit into them sooner or later.
Unless you need the money I'd hang on to them too.. you'll miss them otherwise!

you know now that I think about it.. I had a kiwi Fuz garden set and it was too big... I sold it and now I miss it
So there ya go.. if you REALLY like it, I suggest you don't!

What a bummer! I say hang on to them too. Just think -- if you put them away now then when he gets bigger you can pull them out and it will be like instant fluffy mail!

Thanks, Mamas. I guess I'll hang onto them for a few days before deciding what to do with them. I was planning to use them this summer, because I'm ECing DS and am guessing he might not be in dipes long enough to grow into these dipes. They're really big on him (not just a little baggy). They sag in the butt because the rise is too high, and the sides could wrap around him one and a half times.
Part of my confusion in sizing is because his body type has completely changed recently. He used to be a total chubster, but he's thinned out and grown a lot longer. He was wearing 12 month clothes at 6 months, and had started wearing a lot of 18 mo clothes, but now he's back in some 12 month clothes. He's also fitting into his regular PFs really well now, whereas last month I could barely get the snappi fastened when he wore them.
Sorry to ramble. I'm just really disappointed to have these gorgeous dipes and a cover that DS won't be able to wear this summer. My plan was to have DS wear cute fitteds with no covers at home and then have him show off his cute cover when we were out.

Okay...here's a fragment of a song to reflect my mood. You know I'm depressed if I'm writing diaper lyrics to Jewel. :LOL

Giant Dipes (Foolish Games Remix)
...
Well in case you failed to notice,
In case you failed to see,
This is my Paypal emptied before you,
But the dipes go down to his knees

These giant dipes are tearing me apart
DS' saggy butt is breaking my heart
it's breaking my heart

PS, I totally know how you feel....I get diaper disillusionment....I waited a few months back for some fitted diapers, and by the time I got them, I felt so unattached to them, diaperwise,
: and, have just now started to feel some semblance of fluff 'love' towards them
I, too, have ordered up thinking I will get use, although those diapers were adjustable.
