Please help! I was just rinsing a poopy diaper in the toilet and somehow lost my hold on it. It went right down the pipe! Toilet is plugged but not overflowing. I've tried plunging but it isn't helping. Anyone else done this and is there any help other then a plumber?

By the way, this is the only toilet we have in the house!

Wow! That's a tough one! In my house DH would probably have to actually remove the toilet and see where the blockage is. I don't think there is any way around getting that diaper out. It won't decompose and probably won't fit through the pipes so it has to come out. Sorry mama

Do you have a drain snake (a long coil of wire w/ a hook at the end that can be wound down drains to retrieve solid masses)? If you don't have one, I'm sure you can borrow one from a neighbor or pick one up fairly inexpensively (under $10, I'd imagine) at any hardware store... Cheaper than calling a plumber!
