I hope this is the right place to post this...

I ordered a diaper duck because I remember reading some good things about it. I just used it for the first time, and I feel like I got more poop stuck to the toilet than down the toilet! Am I doing something wrong? I don't feel like it made much of a difference.

I use a diaper duck to wring out my PFs after dunking and swishing... I really like it since I hardly ever get my hands wet. What kind of problems are you having, Rikki Jean? I can try to give you some advice. What I do is hold the diaper while I'm flushing, letting it get sucked down as far as possible so I can pull up and use the flush hole to try and get any chunks off, repeatedly dunking and pulling as necessary. You can use the diaper duck to hold the diaper for you while performing this operation but make sure you have at least a couple inches above the clamp so it doesn't slip through. Then I clamp the duck onto the diaper just below where I am holding it and push the duck downward to wring out the water. It may take a couple passes to get most of the water out but I've found that if I push the duck down instead of trying to pull the diaper through it affords a little more control. I have to admit that it took a while for me to get the hang of using the diaper duck so don't be discouraged. As with all new things there is a learning curve. HTH! If you have any other questions I will check back later.

Thanks Andi...I think your advice will help. I've only gotten to use it once so far, and even though I followed the directions, it's not as easy as it looks, kwim? I'm really sqeamish about toilet water...I know it sounds elitest, but I do not like to clean my toilet, just because I'm grossed out about touching it. I know that's really weird. Anyway, that's why I got the dd, so that I can rinse poopy diapers in the toilet with minimum contact. Hopefully practice will make perfect!
