Diaper Fairy and Customs

I went to the P.O. today to send a fairy gift. It seems that the sender needs to SIGN customs forms that go to Canada (or anywhere abroad for that matter). So, when a Canadian mama gets a fairy package next week, please don't may any attention to the name on it
!

Does anyone have any idea about how the fairy can work around customs?

I don't think you can get around customs
When shipping internationally from Canada we don't need to sign the customs label...I think it's because we don't need to promise that we are not terrorists, etc, on the label like Americans do. We just have to declare value and contents.

Well... what would stop you from signing your name, rather sloppily, "Diaper Fairy"?

I am thinking the same thing about signing Diaper Fairy...that is who it is from isn't it? Do they look at the sig really hard anyway I mean you certainly can't read what some ppl sign...

The PO lady at my place actually does scrutinize these things...she also made me put my return addy on a domestic fairy package (although not my name, fortunately!) - she wouldn't accept it for shipping without it!

I'd be afraid that when it got to customs, a pkg. signed "diaper fairy" would be scrutinized really closely!

LOL!

I can just see the Canadian cusoms holding that package, finding it "suspicious!" ("hey.. whos the diaper fairy?")

Even funnier would be American customs, can't you picture them with like masks and stuff cafefully handling this "suspicious" package... with a diaper in it!

I have an overactive imagination!

Seriously - the way things are today, I think that's really likely!

"A cloth diaper? Can't be, no one uses those. Must be something really suspicious! What could this cotton thing be used for?"

I'd sign very messily "The Diaper Fairy", but my own sig is so messy there's no way you can tell it's my name, anyway :LOL

:LOL

The Customs form we fill out here in the US when sending international packages is just for content and value as well.
Then you sign it stating that you are not lieing anywhere on the form (ie, checking gift when it is not
).
