Diaper material that doesn't fray?

673 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Ackray
I'd like to try making some diapers that I can pin or snappi, similar to the "Snappi" diaper, but I don't have a serger. The last time I tried to convert prefolds to fitteds, the edges frayed terribly, even using the overlock stich on my machine.

Which diaper material, like sherpa, hemp, BKT or whatever! won't fray at the edge?

Any suggestions welcome, thank you.

Most knits should work and not fray much. I mean, you might get some strays for a few washings, but if you cut them off they'll quit fraying after a bit.
Pretty much all fabrics fray. I find that hemp fleece doesn't fray as much as sherpa, BKT, other terry's or hemp terry.
