DS is 5 month and I am EBF. DS is very red in the folds of the skin around his penis and scrotum, under his scrotum and inside his buttocks... not raised bumps, just very red and irritated... does this sound like typical stuff or could it be a reaction to something I'm eating? I have cut way down on dairy b/c I thought he might be lactose intolerant, but I am not seeing a huge difference (he was having very frequent, super runny poops... has decreased only a bit) I just started being more vigilant about applying some diaper cream on the irritated spots to see if it will clear up.
Thoughts?

The rash could have been caused by the runny poop itself. i would just let your baby go diaperless in a sunny spots as much as possible, make sure you change his diaper VERY regularly when he's wearing one, and keep an eye out for red spots or peeling near the folds of his skin. If any of that shows up or it keeps up for more than three days without looking better it might be yeast related..

It does help, thank you! Don't see any signs of yeast as of yet, but will keep changing dipes frequently and keep my eye on it.
