Hello everyone, I have a question about storing your diapers and covers with elastic in them!

Will the elastic deteriorate in my Fuzzi's and covers when stored in vaccum packs for two years (or more?) Should I pack them in boxes to keep the air ciculating instead? I would really prefer to save my diapers for #2 instead of selling them, but if the elastic will give out in storage, then I don't want to lose my investment.
:

My son is rapidly outgrowing his diapers, and I need to put these things somewhere! Help me out!

I've read that elastic can go bad, but I personally haven't had that problem. Some of our covers and fitteds with elastic have been in a lidded rubbermaid storage tote in dd's closet for 3 1/2yrs, and they're still fine. Maybe it makes a difference if they're stored indoors at a decent temperature, as opposed to being in a hot or cold attic or garage.

I agree with a pp. I think as long as you keep them at a regulated temperature, like room temp, then the elastic should be fine regardless of whether they are vacuum sealed or just in a storage tub.
