Yesterday I got my bumkins wraps in the mail and I had my cpf's all washed 4 times so they werenice and absorbant. I was so excited to get started w/ cd's! Well, my dd soaked them so fast and then would freak out! We went to rent some movies and she peed her diper and fussed and cried the whole time. The poor baby did not like that wet diaper on her bum at all. I can't blame her one bit.

So, what should I do so she's not so uncomfotable until I can change her? Will a fleece liner in with a cpf work? Should I have just ran to the car to change her? It seems like she pees every 15 minutes!

Also, I am not sure the cpf's are going to be my favorite dipe. I can't seem to position them so they don't get the cover soaking wet I have a couple fitteds coming in the mail to try out.

What are everyone's favorite fitteds? How about your favorite fleece lined doubler? are they good for heavy wetters?

Thank-you so much for the info!

Definitely try fleece liners. They really help with feeling dry. Your cps will continue to get more absorbent, too! Nice fleece lined fitteds would be nice, of course!

I use homemade microfleece lines with prefolds. You can just cut the fabric into strips (about the width of the center panel of a cpf) and cut those in thirds, then lay those in the diaper. It doesn't matter if they stick out of the diaper because fleece won't absorb.

A yard of microfleece makes a TON of liners.

Fleece absolutly amazes me... DH thinks I'm crazy b/c I always show him how wet the other side is and tell him to feel that the fleece still seems dry- of course he won't actually touch it-just shakes his head and say um-hmm!

A fleece liner could help. Also, maybe a doubler of some sort. If she's soaking completely through the cpf onto the cover, you may need some extra absorbancy.

Most WAHMs have fleece topped doublers that you can get with their fitteds. SOS, VeryBaby, Cuddlebuns, Poochies are just a few I could think of or try a Fuzzi Bunz pocket diaper. I've seen some prefolds that already have a strip of micro fleece sewn down the center, but I can't think of the name of the store.

A microfleece liner will help a lot. As far as not getting the cover wet just poke in any parts that are sticking out after you've put the cover on and you should be fine.

I only just started CDing a couple weeks ago so I don't have a lot of experience here, but we've been using pocket dipes (happy heiny's) and they're wonderful! The fleece really keeps the dipe from feeling wet. At first we didn't even think it *was* wet until we pulled out the liner! Pretty amazing stuff. Keep experimenting. I'm sure as your dd gets a little older, the peeing issue won't be so bad.

If your any good at sewing you can turn your prefolds into fitted fleece is the great fabric invented, another option is to invest in some pocket diapers. or maybe the motherease OS dry diapers.
