This is probably a really wierd question, but do you ever wonder if your baby boys penis is getting squished by a diaper?

i got two of the snap rumpsters aios for when DH is doing changes and, after washing them, i put one on him and i REALLY feel like he is being.. umm... smooshed!

i know that they run a little small and that they're supposed to be trim... but i am feeling nervous. I am not used to diapering boy parts and I think that I am getting paranoid.

Is this insane to be thinking?

I worried about this constantly when Jett was a little tiny guy. DH kept telling me not to worry about it. I did anyway. A few times, I found him in quite uncomfortable positions. He stopped complaining as soon as he was resituated.

Now, I just make sure he's pointing up so that he doesn't have tons of pressure on his penis when he has erections, which DH says is kinda painful.

I really didn't think about it. It was DH that worries about it. Actually he doesn't worry about the penis as much as the testicles. They are always 'droopy' and so out-of-proportion...
DH always makes sure they don't get tucked in somewhere where they don't belong. So I make sure as well that I lift them rather than let them hang and have them accidently pull later on...

I always heard to point it down. I don't like using a snappi on my son, because it seems like the elastic going across could squish him.

I thought it was better to make sure to keep his penis down afterwards?...

People point it down for better urine control. I haven't found a difference, though, unless his diaper is on the small side and the rise is getting really low. Then, it matters.
