So I'm bidding on these so cute diapers on ebay, and really hope I win them. With B we used pocket diapers and it was nothing but trouble for DH stuffing them and taking them apart afterwards to soak and wash. Well with Lilah I plan to be home (let's just say more often) and I'm going back to cloth. I only had 3 AIO's so I'm starting over and I have those 3 still, + I added a Blueberries AIO (it's so cute!) and I'm bidding on more cuties for her.

Also, I have 24 fuzzi bunz (pockets) size small for sale on ebay (If anyone's interested ) and the 4 Blueberries pockets that I don't need are there too. I'm hoping that I'll make enough from those to pay for the AIO's that I want. LOL

Just wanted to share my plans on CD'ing and the diaps i want.

Good luck with your auction, winning and selling! I'm the queen of diaper indecision. I feel like I have every type of diaper known to man. I use all of them, honest!

Yeah, I could be your twin lol. I buy them and then don't LOVE them but don't HATE them enough to get rid of them so we just use them.

What am I doing now? Learning to knit. Soakers and longies here I come ROFL

OK I am totally getting to the diaper party at 4 am because this is all Greek to me. Tweedlebugs, Swaddlebees, Blueberries, Fuzzi Bunz...I need a tutorial!
What are the CDs that have the disposable insert? What do you all think of those? We have a pretty crappy washing machine and we both hate to launder, so I think this is the most realistic option for us. Please advise!
those are Gdiapers, and I have those for sell on ebay too. I liked them even less than the pocket CD's, it's too much work for me. But you have to try and see what works best for you mama, you might like Gdiapers better than washing them constantly.

if you are interested however, just go on ebay and search Gdiapers, I have a lot of 4 Gpants, and 90 refills for sale there, it's worth the small investment to try them out (it's only at $35) and they are brand spanking new. The pants alone are $16 everywhere you look, and I'm selling 4 of them together.

That's wonderful! I taught myself to knit last year just so I could make soakers. I've had 3 winter babies, and now I know how to knit all that cute little baby stuff, and I'm having a late spring baby. Go figure.

I don't like pocket diapers. I've tried, I really have. I just really love my Swaddlebees one sized velour, and Crickett's hemp. The majority of my stash are prefolds, which we pin-but I'm probably going to end up going all fitted for this baby.

I'm loving GMD toddler size on my 18 mo old right now, and a thirsties on top. The duo wrap is pretty cool. Was going to just duo wrap size one the new babe, but omg some soakers would be adorable. My last son was a May 08 baby (same due date the 28th-imagine) and was in just plain white FB the whole summer.

It was so hot I didn't put anything on him but a gown at night, and some socks mostly cause they were cute. I'm planning on knitting a few hats for the first weekish-(but honestly my son wore them all of two days last time), some adorable booties (cause feet are always cold!) and then soakers. If it's a girl...that list may grow a bit I'm in love with ruffled soakers...and omg the longies come fall...I'm gonna have carpal tunnel flair up on a daily basis if my fifth child is finally a girl...

I have my whole newborn stash from DD ready to go but I think I want to get about 12 AIO to add to it. I used mostly pockets and prefolds with her as a newborn and now that I am going to have 2 in diapers I just don't want to stuff pockets. So I'm going to buy some bumgenius. But I want to find out if we're having a girl or boy so I can be more gender specific with my colors but I am having a really hard timing holding off. I have a serious addiction to buying CD's and I want to buy them NOW!!!

I love cloth diapers and have to be careful about buying too many, too

Gdiapers=you have to be careful with these if you have touchy plumbing (we do b/c we live in a house built in 1920) or have a sewage system.

My stepsister just sold me her CD stash which was about 20 aio's for 100! I was super excited.

Tenk, I LOVE fuzzibuns. If I weren't already full I'd be bidding.

Just so you all know, I sold the fuzzi bunz (YAY!) and the Gdiapers (for way less than I paid) and the blueberries (again way less than I paid) but I won the bubele bums that I was bidding on, and some green & comfy (which I used with B and love) so I'll have 4 green & comfy, 12 bubele bums, 1 blueberry, and a few others here already. I'm so excited!!!!

My opinion on aios..........take a year to dry!!! I only use bumgenius aios for xs and s b/c after size s, they take forever to dry and end up stinky. I do like motherease aios b/c they are only top sewn soakers (quick dry). And i think pockets are the best! Super easy for washing---but I do all the washing and stuffing for dh/the nanny.

Grobaby diapers also have a disposable option. The outer shell can be reused and you can buy boosters so that it's cheaper than buying all separate diapers and for travelling (or convenience) you can buy disposable inserts.

The new FLIP and Econobum diapers from the maker of BumGenius have disposable inserts too.
My SIL bought me a package of gdiaper inserts (in a state of confusion) and we ended up using them as boosters out of curiosity, inside a prefold under wool. Tearing them up to flush is a little bit messy, about similar to flushing a poo from a prefold.

I think I need to buy more newborn prefolds and I'm trying hard to stick with our tried and true cotton but there's so many gorgeous squishy bamboo newborn fitteds at our local CD store... I keep going there and fondling it and trying to be strong.

I'll be knitting more newborn and small soakers and longies, too. I have a complete functional set from my first baby but they were what I was learning on and some of them are frankly hideous.

I feel like such a boring person when it comes to CD's We've tried a variety, but I just can't beat the simplicity of pre-folds and Bummis SWWs. I've used some AIO's but can't stand how long it takes for them to dry. I've tried pre-fitted flannels which I LOVED but were well-used before I got them. Two more children later, they are ready for the rag bin. So I have a good sized stash of the prefolds and covers in various sizes and we're good to go!

With DS2 I really wanted and found a nice set of Kushie's AIO's which seemed really convenient in the middle of the night, but all the blow-outs got to be too annoying. So I sold the set for more than I paid for it within a couple weeks.

I found some used no-name fitted diapers online, that I bought. The lady I bought them from said she loved them (and had two boys - which is what we're having). She said that they aren't SUPER absorbent (but apparently better than prefolds...) like some of the fancy diapers out there but she used them during the day when frequent changes were okay . At night she used disposables (which I don't want to use at all). She gave me all the wraps for them but I have actually crocheted wool soakers that I am hoping will do the trick. The sizes are small and large so I think I'll have to figure something out for when we first bring our little guy home.

I also splurged on Friday and ordered 13 Kanga pocket diapers for night times and going out (for 10-35lbs). They got a good review on Diaperpin.com so I am hopeful. I was wondering if anyone here has used these. My friend suggested Bumgenious 3.0 but I didn't like the idea of an inside pocket to put the insert - the Kangas have a zippered outer pocket for the inserts....

I can't believe how excited I get about diapers! . I love any discussion about them - I feel like such a dork. Most women like women's clothing and shoes.... for me, it's become CDs LOL

Oh man, I LOVE my Blueberry AIOs! They have been wonderful. Are you on the mailing list for their outlet store? Every once and a while they have a massive sale. We've really been able to stock up for cheap that way.

I think we want to try ECing with this kid, so I think we'll be doing cloth in the early days, too (last time I had an infant, we had to go to a laundromat... needless to say, we used paper diapers during that phase). Everyone swears by Kissaluvs for newborns, so we may have to try some out.

That's great, Tenk. Sorry I missed out on your Gdiapers though! I'll have to stalk ebay for a while.

i just got some bumgenius bamboo fitteds for 7.77 each and free ship from cottonbabies.com They are out of production and are great for size xs -m. ONce they start to wet more, they pee straight through the BG fitteds IMO. I thought kissaluvs were not at all absorbant so I sold mine off from Owen. I have tried a TON of fitteds and I def think you get what you pay for. I like to use cheaper wahm covers, but better quality fitteds/pfs. And I swear by BG pockets! I have like 20, BUT I have replaced the elastic in them all and converted them all to snaps b/c BG velcro stinks!!!
