Ok, so it has been a long time (almost 10 years) since I had a baby. I have been stockpiling diapers for this little one but, I can't for the life of me figure out how many of each size I will need. Anyone out there have any ideas?

Are you talking cloth or disposie? Because that makes a difference in the answer

It will depend on how big your baby is when it arrives, and how fast he/she grows. They go through 10-14 diapers in the newborn stage, then start to decrease a bit at around 5 months or so, if I recall. Kinda hard to predict exactly what you'll need. I would buy a gazillion newborn diapers, just in case you have a big baby who never fits in them, though!

Then again, if you have extras you don't need, you can always donate them to your local food bank.

I'm not sure how many to stock up on, but I would stay away from the Pampers with Dry Max. They're the new version and have been linked to lots of babies having SEVERE rash. My DD was one of them when we used them while on vacation. She had blisters the size of quarters. She would sob everytime she peed in the night because it burned and the car seat was torture.
