Just curious here. My ds is 3 years 3 months old and only nurses 2x a day (nap and bedtime) but I'm wondering if that is putting a damper on ttc. My neighbor was ttc for 6 months and nothing was happening so she decided to wean her son and the month he was done nursing was the month she conceived. Maybe a coincidence maybe not?? Did anyone else have this experience???

Sorry I'm no help, but I am interested in what others have to say. DS is 17 months and I still haven't gotten AF yet.

I did, but I think there were other factors too. Mainly that I had the (stupid, horrible, awful no good) Depo shot twice after my ds was born. I did not get AF even when he was only nursing once a day. I started acupuncture and did that for several months. I took Clomid once right after he weaned (at 22ish mos) and had a weak ovulation and a tiny period. Then the next month I ovulated on my own and got pregnant.

This time I got a period at 3mos pp and have now twice ovulated but with only a very short LP.

It is so frustrating when your body does not cooperate with your heart and mind.

We weaned in June and we're still trying. My period came back last fall and we tried that whole time, but my cycles were wonky (spotting all the time, rare ovulation). As soon as I weaned dd (she was 2), I ovulated 2 weeks later. So, to all appearances weaning made my cycles normal again, but I still am not pregnant.
Yes. My first weaned at 3 yrs. Didn't get pg until all my milk had dried up and had AF. My dd was 6 yo.
Then my 2nd dd weaned at 18 months. She was 2yo when I got pg.

This has been my big issue lately - I dont want to wean DS, but, I think that is going to be the only way I am going to be able to get AF/PG. He isnt ready yet, so, I think we will wait a bit longer.

Struggling with this as well. TTC for almost 7 months, cycles are so wacky due to bfing, but I refuse to wean dd, still hard deal though.
