I went to the store today to buy microfiber towels and washcloths (to use as wipes). I stood there forever second guessing myself. I thought I knew what I needed to get, then...

First about the towels:
I got the towels from the automotive section. They were 2 for $3. They seemed to have several different choices and they all felt/looked different. Should they all work the same?

The ones I got also seem kind of big. (I haven't opened the package yet - wanted to post first and be able to return them if I got the wrong thing.) If I cut them will I have to hem the edges to prevent fraying?

There were some smaller (I think) yellow ones that were marketed for use on glass. Maybe those would be better?

Now I'm not even sure how to use them. I have one Fuzzi Bunz. I know I can stuff it with the towel. Do I also use a pf inside (that's what I usually use for an insert) or just the towel?

I read in another post it shouldn't be against ds's skin. So if I'm using a pf and a cover, can I fold the towel inside the cover (baby, pf, towel, cover)?

Why am I so confused all of a sudden? Basically I am just looking to find a good nighttime diaper and heard the towels were super-absorbent. Maybe I don't even need them.

About the washcloths:
Those of you who use washcloths for wipes, do you use the baby-size washcloths or the regular size? I thought I'd just get a huge pack of the super-economical regular ones, but they looked so big! So I bought 30 of the baby ones, but they were $4.68 for 10.

I feel like an idiot! Help me if you can!!!

sounds like the right towels. you can cut them, they wont frey.
if you have a heavywetter i would use 2 in an fb or one and the cpf.
when laying in cover i would put the mf towel between the cover and the cpf. If your pinning or snappi'ing the cpf i would just be careful to fold it trim the long way so it wouldnt touch the inner thigh

I definitely used baby washcloths. The adult ones aren't so much too big.. as they are too thick. The baby washcloths I got at walmart were perfect. (I got the ones with the binding around the edge.. they are easier to grab with one hand than the others)

Thank you WickidaWitch and jnmom. I guess I'll open the packages and wash the stuff now! The towels, I guess, just don't look and feel like I expected them to. They look like terrycloth.

I got those washcloths with the binding, too. Wish they had a better variety of color choices. Mine are green, yellow, and white. I prefer blue and white, but it shouldn't really matter I guess. I'm just wiping his bum with them!
