This one is for all the pg mamas. I'm just curious and I have what I think is a cool story to share. We just found out (by hpt) on Saturday that we're expecting #3, but 3 things happened prior to that....2 wks ago, dh dreamt we were pg again, with a girl, and she had curly red hair, like his. One week ago, I had a very similar dream-little girl with curly red hair and she told me her name should be Clara, or rather that it was ok to name her Clara (that was our little girl name picked out for ds#2). The kicker is that the morning of the day I tested, out of the blue, my oldest son asked me why I had two boys and a girl. I told him I didn't have a girl, just he and his brother. He gave me a confused look, then shrugged it off and said, well mom, you're a girl then. Dh didn't tell me about his dream until after I had tested, and my son's question is what prompted me to test in the first place (yeah, I had nausea and sore bb's and felt bloated, but after 15 mos of ttc, I wrote it off as late AF again). Weird stuff, huh? It's like the whole family was in tune to what was going on, even before we had confirmation of it. I guess b/c of all this, I think this baby is a girl, which would be just fine by me. I 'felt' (ok, I just knew) both boys were indeed boys. Needless to say, if this baby is a girl, she's gonna be named Clara. Let's hope I'm 3 for 3! Anyone else have any neat stories they'd like to share???

I don't have anything as dramatic as your story but I also *knew* I was pregnant before I knew for sure. In fact, it happened twice.

Around the end of January this year I told my DH that it felt like I had a big glowing ball of energy in my uterus. It was just humming with intensity like a factory had fired up in there. Within a week, I got a BFP. However, this pregnancy ended in a natural miscarriage around 7 weeks.

Fast-forward to May of this year and DH, DD and I were in South Africa visiting his family. A few days into the trip I told him....errr, I've got that humming feeling again. Sure enough, a few days later another BFP. Currently hanging out at 20 weeks.

my knowing was much more akin to DarkHorseMama. i "felt" something low on my left side (i wouldn't be surprised if that's were the lil bun implanted). i also felt great...much better than a usual pre-AF (although, that feeling is slowly giving way to exhaustion, afternoon hot flashes, and an ichy stomach). DH was also convinced that i was pg...he kept saying it over and over again. i didn't want to give in to him (superstitious), now he's the one who's afraid to jinx the little bugger.

other than that, before i was pg, a friend of mine and i both had dreams that i gave birth to a little boy. so far, i don't have any feelings one or another whether my little bun is a boy or a girl. don't care, either.

phishmama, your stories are fabulous.

Well, my knowing this time around wasn't as cool and spooky, but I was charting and had a pretty good feeling from that. But I have a friend who, both times, took all the wind out of my sails by asking if I was pregnant when I was about to tell her!

This time, I have had a couple of people tell me they thought I was pregnant and that I looked pregnant before I told them. But no cool dreams.

Oh, the dog hasn't been able to leave me alone since around implantation time! I guess I must smell different too. I've had to get rather stern with him about it. :LOL

yes, i have dreamed I was pregnant w/all my pregs.

W/baby one, I had a dream that Baby Buddha came up to me and told me that I would have a baby w/in a year. It would've been around the time she was implanting. DH also dreamed that we took a preg test and it was positive.

W/baby two, I simply dreamed I had to get away from bad guys and had to hurry and put dd and "the baby" in the car. I woke up thinking "what baby??". LOL

W/baby three, I dreamed again I was preg. I don't remember the exact dream but it was fairly straightforward and simple

I usually have the dream around implantation time. I also have lots of other dreams that give me info re: teh birth, etc. I feel pregnancy is an especially in-tune time for dreams, etc.

Great stories!

The night I had my first vivid prego dream I recocnized it right away. I woke up and tested BFP.

The conception was pretty amazing though...I have a 3 and 5 year old and was really happy with my 2...not thinking of more at the time but in August around ovulation week I just had this outragious overwhelming desire to conceive. I had daytime visualizations of my body opening up to let someone in I was crazed I was full of power and I must have been giving off some serious phermones. I had to describe this to Dh of course and was dissapointed when he didn't jump up and down at the idea (duhh) but by the next day he agreed we should listen to my body. and so with much intent we did indeed concieve...tested positive on our wedding anniversary. My kids are thrilled everyone else is stunned...they are asking...where you planning this?? We are sort of saying well I guess we did...for one month...or maybe the universe was planning it for us.

I feels pretty magical to me anyway!

And due on mothers day!

Oh yeah, the dog knew immediately too, very prtective and litterally at my heels,if not on them!-It'd be cute,if I wasn't allergic...

About two months before I got pregnant with Ds I had a dream about an old woman sitting by a fire. She was holding a baby in her lap and singing to it. I asked her who the baby belonged to and she said he was mine. I told her I didn't have a baby but she just smiled at me. Then she said she was caring for my baby for me until he was ready to be born. She told me I would have a blue eyed baby boy, and I would name him Kearnan William. Well three months later I took a test and sure enough I was pregnant. I had felt strange for a few weeks, like someone was with me all of the time. I knew as soon as the test came back positive that I was going to have a little boy. When my son was born I said his name, and I still swear he looked at me and smiled.

I didn't have any prophetic dreams this time, but I think Ds knew before the rest of us. He kept staring into my bellybutton for about a week before I took the test. I now wonder if he didn't think he could see the baby that way. I am still hoping that the kind old woman will return and tell me about this baby just like she did with Ds. It just gives me a warm feeling inside to think of her caring for the little spirit until it is ready to be born.
