I'm currently in my 2WW, and trying to preemptively decide if I'm pregnant. I keep hearing people saying they "just knew" they were, that their bodies "felt pregnant," and I'm trying to sort out "feeling pregnant" from "my imagination running away with me," thinking every twinge or discomfort is a symptom.
So what about you-- did you really and truly "know" you were pregnant?

I had no clue. And that's really with all 3 pg's (2 planned one surprise). But with the 2nd two, there was a moment of "awakening" when I realized I really was pg right before I took the test...with #2 AF was a day late, with #3 I was already almost 8 weeks along.

No, I've never felt like I KNEW (except perhaps in retrospect), but I was never all that surprised, either (except for this time--and only because I had what I thought was a neg test only days before the pos.....I guess I either had a weak test, or started testing too early!)

Anyway, dh HAS always known. The very moment I mention that I'm late (or getting late) and think maybe I should take a test.....he'll immediately say "Yeah, I think you are." Or "I'm pretty sure you aren't" and he's never been wrong! Maybe he really DOES know what he's doing!

I "knew" I was for 6 months, but I always had a bfn. The month I gave up and totally didn't think about it is when I got pregnant. I also don't even know for sure when my last period was since I gave up all charting. I didn't even notice I was late until about 4 days after AF was due. Every previous month I had tested obsessively.

All my pgs were planned with multiple attempts, so I always tested by 14-16 dpo. (My LP is usually around 14-16 days. TORTURE.) I NEVER knew in the TWW that I was pg, though. Anytime I thought I mystically just "knew," AF showed up.

The only teensy glimmer I had with this pg was that my breast tenderness persisted beyond 14 dpo. Usually my luteal phase symptoms (which are exactly the same as early pg symptoms: sore breasts, tender nipples, heartburn, fatigue, etc.) disappear a couple days before AF's expected arrival. When they continued, I started to suspect and decided to test.

With dd#1 I FELT pregnant but thought I was just crazy. (got bfp w/her at 7wks) The baby in my belly completly took me by surprise though bc we'd been trying for 7mths AND nursing, so I'd given up hope. So to answer your question, yes I did "feel" pregnant w/baby number one but not with baby#2.
:

The first big symptom w/dd was eaaaarly morning sickness.
The first big symptom w/this one was I was sooooo tired 24/7 but I chalked that up to chasing a toddler. I was wrong (got bfp w/this baby at 4wks!)

Well my 1st two pregnancies were huge surprises so I wasn't even looking for symptoms at all. But my 2nd two pregnancies were planned so I was obsessively searching for symptoms. With the 1st, I totally KNEW. I had massive undeniable symptoms & started telling people I was pregnant even before my BFP! With the 2nd (of the planned pregnancies), we'd been TTC for 6 mos & it was on my mind all the time. I was constantly aware of twinges & symptoms. But, I had NONE the cycle I finally got a BFP! I was totally shocked! I tested at 11dpo & got a pos. I was SURE I wasn't going to get a BFP that cycle & only took the test because I'd been drinking a lot of alcohol (on my honeymoon
) & just wanted to "be sure".

Good luck!!

I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt about two days before my period was due, despite the fact that I was actively trying not to get pregnant. I could just tell by the way I was feeling, the little bit of nausea, the change in energy levels. What cinched it for me was waking up one morning and realizing my breasts felt like really large water balloons. I waited a few more days to take a test, but I was certain the whole time.

I was pretty much clueless. In retrospect it was pretty obvious, but I was (as it turned out) about 5 weeks along by the time I got around to testing and got my BFP. I should have suspected when I couldn't finish the beers I would start! Felt like crap, too.

I voted "yes" but that only applies to one pg. I didn't know with my first pg but had strong suspicions with my 2nd pg. That ended in a m/c but when I got pg again 2 months later, I "knew" because all the symptoms were the same as the ones I had a few months before (tugging feeling in uterus, nipples felt like they were leaking, nipples of fire).

Right now I'm in the 2 ww and will test tomorrow at 12 dpo. I'm not sure this time although I have many, but not all, of the same symptoms I had with the last pg. I won't be surprised with either a BFP or a BFN.

My ex "knew" with the first before I was even late. But I was oblivious and quite shocked when he made me take a test as soon as I was late and I got a bfp.

Second time around, I definately knew right around the time I was late. I remember the exact moment I knew. I was at work and I went in the bathroom and looked in the mirror and I could see it in my face. I just looked pregnant somehow. I tested that day and got a bfp.

With my 3rd, I realize in retrospect I knew, but I was in denial for maybe the first month and a half to two months. Ds2 was only 4mo when I got pregnant and I was exclusively bf'ing and still nursing frequently at night. I was not ready to have another baby. All the physical signs were there, but I made excuses for all of them...

"I'm sooo exhausted cause the lack of sleep is catching up with me"

"I've been throwing up! It must be e.coli from that taco bell!"

"No honey, I can't be pregnant. I'm breastfeeding! My pants are just getting tighter because I have been eating more" (which I HAD been eating more)

So I guess I could check all the boxes on the poll.

I knew with DD1, but then DD2 threw me for a loop.
It took a year of TTC to get pg with her, and while I thought maybe I was every other cycle, I was sure that I was NOT pg that cycle.

I knew with my 2nd pregnancy (this one). I felt the egg implant while I was nursing down DS one night, and the words "I'm pregnant" just popped into my mind as soon as I felt that little twinge. Sure enough, I had a 2nd temperature shift the next morning (my chart became triphasic, sign of implantation) and my lower abdomen became almost tender; a few days later, I began having mild cramping (a week before AF was due, a normal pregnancy sign for me). I *knew* I was pregnant although no one believed me, especially because it was our first cycle ttc. It took 2 weeks for me to get a BFP and the wait drove me crazy; I seriously spent about $40 on early pregnancy tests, all BFNs.

Wow, that's so neat! Way to be in touch with your body!
