I am considering buying used some 1.0s, and am wondering what the major differences were b/w the 1.0 and the 2.0. I am very happy with my 2.0s and would like more BGs!!

Anyone have this info?

umm... I have the 1.0 OS (and some 2.0 OS) and the 1.0 have a different fabric outer, the rise is a little different, and they have 'special washing instructions' but I'm not sure why, I've been washing them w/my regular diapers anyway and it hasn't made a difference yet. I keep waiting for one of them to melt or something. I don't put the pocket in the dryer, though, I just hang dry them, they are usually dry before the inserts are. Oh, the 1.0s don't have the pink color, either, and they're lacking a second line of stitching across the top, so they can have a tendency for the suedecloth to sort of roll up and wick moisture if it's really wet... but if you have a sewing machine you can fix that really quickly.

The 1.0 fabric is similiar to windbreaker pants. You are supposed to wash on warm and never put the pockets in the dryer.

I'm not sure how hot my "hot" laundry is. But I do run it through the hot wash... it may be set sorta low, though.

I had a BG 1.0 that I washed on hot and it turned into a pocket fitted because it basically lost all waterproofness. My friend, however, washe all four of her BG 1.0's on hot as well and dryed them on hot and the worste that happened was that the colors faded. I thik I remember Jenn from cotton babies saying that it depends on how high your water heater is turned up and that if it's below 120 degrees (which it most liokely would be with kids in the home) that it'll be fine. I still wash the ones I have now on medium an kline dry becasue I don't want to chance it.
