This is my 4th pregnancy. My first three pregnancies were almost identical (not the births...those were very different...just the pregnancies). So far this pregnancy has already been very different. My symptoms (heavy nausea with this one, almost none with my others; massive fatigue with the others, not as bad this one) & the fact that I bled early on (no bleeding with my others). I'm only 8 weeks, so I don't yet know if the whole pregnancy will be different.

My first three pregnancies were boys. So everyone I tell this to says, "well, it must be a girl." So I'm wondering if that assumption holds any truth. Did any of you have very different pregnancies and different genders or similar pregnancies with same sex kids? Or vice versa? Or are people just saying it because it's something to say?

Well, my friend has one of each and is pregnant again, she has barely any symptoms either way, BUT she says her sex drive is much higher with boys and thinks this one is a boy because of that. She's having a scan on Wds to find out gender so i guess we might know soon if she's right!

AFM, well, i am definitely more sick, refluxy and more tired with this pg than i was with DD BUT i'm pretty big (so it could be twins) and 4 years older, and have a new DH (not DD's father) so it could be any of those factors making a difference. I am dying to know if it's twins but still waiting on our ultrasound appointment!

My pgs have definitely been different...but all girls!! So personally I don't put too much weight on symptoms alone...

I was much sicker w/DD than DS, so I had a theory that girls produced more morning sickness. Here I am preg w/#3 and I feel sicker than ever. So it's either another girl, or my new theory - that it gets worse every time.

Each of my other successful pregnancies I was sick as a dog and needed an IV for fluids on at least 1 occasion. This time around I have nausea, but have only vomited twice. I feel I can "control" it better this time by really watching my diet whereas with my others whatever I ate just came right back up..

So I sure hope the different symptoms means something different! I like my 4 sons, but come on give me a little variety already!

DH describes it as "she's sucking the life out of you" lol
