I have been using HHs for overnights and have been really happy with them, but I think I am ready to move to using prefolds and wool for overnight, as this is what we use during the day. So I was all set to get a 'Crat, but then I thought it might be too bulky to put under ds's nightclothes (usually a onsie). I like wool wraps (Bumpy), but love soakers, too and I can't decide......hence my post

So, could you tell what you use and why?? I would greatly appeciate it!

a bumpy would be OK for a light wetter, but if you have a heavy wetter definately go with a 'crat. Those are thicker and will absorb a lot more moisture before it would leak. We have never had a leak with a crat!!

Maybe a t-shirt with the 'Crat instead?
I know, I am having a HARD time finding baby tees.....that seems like a good way to go though, thanks

I agree that the onesie would have to be pretty big to fit over a Crat. My experience has been that my Bumpy is as effective, if not more, than keeping in wetness than my Crat, but then again I've only lanolized my Crat twice and to be fair it probably needs more. But then again, I only lanolized the Bumpy once! BTW, the Bumpy runs huge. My DD is 6.5 months old, 16, lbs, and still fits into her Newborn sized Bumpy with room to grow!

Anyway, you might want to check out longies for nighttime. Aristocrats makes a longie version of their soaker (available from Green Mountain Diapers) which we use with a long sleeve T shirt. When it's warm, we just use the Bumpy or another soaker with a short sleeved T. I like the simplicity of having the PJ bottom as the diaper cover.
