Hi all! Wanted to announce the arrival of a new CD baby, our little girl Tenley Jewel was born Thursday 10/16. She's smaller than my son by more than a pound and I'm having trouble getting covers to fit. She weighs about 7lbs 5oz right now. The Kissaluvs 0s are great, but Proprap newborns are too big

Bummis newborns are a good fit but the velcro is too high on her cord. She seems to have a really small rise and skinny thighs.

So far we're just using the diapers without covers during the day and attempting Fuzzi Bunz all fleece smalls at night so that's going well. Just wondering what I should use if/when we leave the house for covers?

Suggestions?

Congratulations on your new little one! I don't know of any covers smaller than a prorap NB.

Sorry, no cover advice - dd here was a 10 lb. whopper and the nb proraps fit her just right.

Prorap has a preemie cover. I wonder if that would fit your new bundle better?

My daughter weighed the same when she was born but I didn't start CD till she was 3 months old.

I read on another thread http://216.92.20.151/discussions/sho...threadid=91242 that if you put a wool liner under the doubler you wouldnt need to use a cover. Dont know this for myself yet though but i'm hoping it works out!

I was able to use NB ProRaps on Jenna, and she was 4 pounds 13 ounces at birth. Hmmm.... I am drawing a blank on anything else that might be able to work for you. Sorry.

But congratulations on the birth! Beautiful name, too!

No advice, because my 6 lb 14 oz girl also had skinny legs and couldn't find a non-premie cover that fit and it wasn't worth it to order one- by the time I would have gotten it, she'd be in the newborn size.

She wore premie size clothes, too. I have to admit we used diposables for a week until the covers fit.

Congrats Cathi!!! Welcome to baby Tenley Jewel! You might try the newborn sized prorap colors, they run smaller than the white proraps.

Congratulations!! The newborn proraps seemed to work okay for Ellie and she was 7lb 2oz. They didn't exactly fit "close" but they didn't leak either and she grew into them quickly! Happy babymoon. Oh how I miss having a tiny one around.
