Hi ladies, I need some dipe recommendations for my 20 mo. He's really tall with a long rise. I don't want AIO's, just a regular dipe.

what I need...
-side snap closure. I know from experience that this style fits him best
- long rise
- big enough to fit him until he decides he's ready to use the toilet (no idea when that will be! He doesn't even talk yet LOL)
-durable enough to be used on his little brother too
-reasonable price, since we're on a very tight budget.

Has anyone used ToddleEase? I think ds is about 27 pounds. I don't mind gaping legs, but he has a small waist.

I'm pretty excited to be in the market for new dipes. The only diapers i've ever bought was one fuzzibunz (hated it) and three dozen cpfs. I've always sewed my own using the poopockets pattern. But the poopockets don't fit him comfortably anymore, and I don't have time to make him new ones since I just had a baby.

Thanks for your help.

Well, it's not a side closure, but I love Happy Heinys for a high rise, you could stuff with the CPFs you have.

I second the HH. My son has a high rise too and these fit him like a charm. He's almost 2 and a biggie at 46.4 lbs, lol!

Using the HH will put your cpf's to use too

Good luck

LIZ'S CLOTH!!!

...even can be snapped more loosely at waist setting for pulling down for potty time

I like LD's for that too, btw, and they are very similarly constructed to Liz's.

Most other side snappers I've had fell short in the rise (my guy is also tall and skinny with a long torso so most everything looks like hip huggers on him, lol).

I agree about the HH's...btwn dh's newfound love of them and me being able to slip them down or just get them off fast enough for Ian to potty, I'm in the process of getting a bunch more of them! They are front aplix, though.

I've never tried ToddleEase so I can't speak on those, sorry.

I don't have any side snap, but I wanted to pipe in that I love my HH too. They have a nice high rise and I just stuff them with prefolds. I have a long-bodied, slender (but not skinny) 20 month old...about 30-33 lbs. The XL fit him really well. If you want to see a picture of him to get a better sense of his build, I would be happy to send one to you if that would help you determine if they would work well for your ds.
