I use hot water and baking soda to wash and vinegar in the "jet dry" thingamabob. I know some people said it clouded their glass, but I haven't had any problems.
How much baking soda and vinegar?

I made one with Dr. Bronners, vinegar, lemon juice, and TTO, but it leaves a film on a lot of my stuff.
I use about a tablespoon of bs, the vinegar is in the dispenser-I just fill it periodically. Like I said, others have said it created a film too, so it may be the different types of water.
I would leave the TTO and lemon juice out. The Dr. Bronners and vinegar should be sufficient, but perhaps if you have soft water, you're having a difficult time dissolving the olive oil soap that Dr. Bronners is made of. You can use borax or baking soda instead.

I use Bi-O-Kleen Automatic Dish Powder. It's phosphate & chlorine free. Contains grapefruit seed extract and orange peel extract to help clean & fight oders (I'm reading the label) It only uses 1T (yes - tablespoon) per load and it works fabulously!!

I also use Bi-O-Kleen laundry detergent.
I love the seventh generation, it cleans fantastically even in hard water.
