Dawn dish soap is what I recommend for diaper stripping, only for pockets though. Dawn is known for their "gets the oils out" slogan and it works great.
For pockets, hand wash them with the dawn scrubbing the fleece super well, you can also let them soak in hot water with the soap to help out. Rinse several times and they should be good as new
I had to use Electrasol on all my diaps, which include hemp fleece, hemp jersey, pocket diaps, etc. Because of the bleach in the detergent, it "strips" the fabric of any skunky odors. Not sure if this would work for stripping detergent build-up. I'd just rinse, rinse, rinse, and use vinegar for that. HTH...
