I didn't know exactly where to post this. I got my diva in for the first time. My nails are really long (fake, haven't had a fill in in a while, am needing to get them taken off but have been putting it off) and now I can't get it out! And also, the stem is very very uncomfortable and is 'stabbing' me in an obviously sensitive area.

Anyone know if there's a way to get it out without having to insert more than one finger? I can't even insert the one all the way in there . I really need advice on this by in the morning. I'm ok right now since I JUST put it in so it should be fine overnight (and I'm wearing mama cloth 'just in case'). But I'm really worried about getting this thing out tomorrow...any ideas/help?? It would be greatly appreciated <3

If I had a nail file I'd just clip my nails down real low and file them, but I don't so that would leave them all rough feeling. I swear, fake nails were the worst choice EVER for me :

I always need my thumb and forefinger to remove. I think if you bear down you could possibly get it to stick out enough that you can grab it without having to go very far "in". I still think you will need more than one finger, though- it has some good suction.

As far as the stem- I trimmed mine down to the last "ring" before there would be no stem, and I haven't felt a poke since then.

Good luck!

Thanks hun. I finally got the thing out last night at like midnight
It did take more than one finger, but I figured out how to do it without killing myself with my nails. And thanks for the info about the stem - doing that will help A LOT, because obviously you know all about that uncomfy poke!!

I only use one finger - I shove it all the way up there beside the cup and kind of push/hook it over the rim to break the suction and then the hooked finger kind of pulls the cup out too. I also, on reading threads here, snipped the tail completely off my cup; I can't imagine that people are able to leave it on and still be comfortable! :

I had issues like this with my Diva...I should probably trim the stem down a little further but am afraid if I trim it too far down I will not be able to get it out. If you bear down good enough it should get pushed down to wear you will be able to consistently get it out without stabbing yourself with your nails.

I'm glad you got it out! Hopefully the next time is easier.

I always use thumb and finger to get it out. I have my cup's tail shaved completely off as well. The MoonCup is slightly shorter/fatter shape that also helps with the poking for some people's shape - I prefer it over the DivaCup.
