Diva cup Q

No matter how I insert it, over time (like an hour or less) it always seems to angle towards the left and feels quite uncomfortable stabbing me with the stem. Short of cutting the stem (I've already trimmed about 1/4") how to I stop it? Why is it doing this?

Do you have any leaks or is this only discomfort? If it's only discomfort and no leaking, I'd just trim the rest of the tail off. I had to trim the whole tail off my Mooncup...

eta: use nail clippers so you don't have sharp edges. Ouchie...
No leaks that I've noticed. This is the third cycle I've had it but the first time I've used it for more than a day (I'm on day 2).
Thanks. I'll try cutting the stem right off. I'm sure I'm putting it in right since I've tried several ways.

Now it feels like it's halfway to falling out. (Not that it will but it seems to be sitting quite low.)
: Sigh. I can't push it in any further.

I've been wondering about the divacup. I use the Keeper because I liked the re-usable pads the same company makes, but I get SORE. I'm a little more used to it now than I was, so maybe it just takes getting used to. Someone had told me that the divacup was better because it's made out of a different material, but it sounds like you might be having some of the same problems I have (if I'm not careful the stem will pinch girly parts.). *sigh* I don't want to spend another $35 if I'm just going to have the same problem.

A lot of women say they think the DivaCup/Mooncup is softer than the Keeper... and I did notice that my Mooncup softened up quite a bit after boiling the first time so it's possible the change in material would help. Have you had your Keeper very long... maybe you do just need a little more time.
Good luck!

Almost a year, actually, BUT my periods are not very regular. (I should invest in pregnancy test company stock I've thought I was pregnant so many times.
) And, you can't boil the keeper, so that may have something to do with it, too.
