hi -

i love my diva cup, but i don't use it all the time. it took me a while to figure out how to rotate it to get it to sit comfortably, and now i can do that pretty easily. however, i find that i can't ... um ... empty my bladder without removing it. when i sit down, it trickles out, but i have to take the durned thing out to get a stream going. it's not a bladder issue in that i never have trouble with emptying or bladder control any other time - only this one problem.

does anyone have any idea WHY? TIA for your thoughts and advice.

I've found that I can't FULLY empty my bladder when it's in, but I get more than a "trickle." Generally, when it's ready to be emptied, I'll make sure to pee before re-inserting it, but I don't need to remove it with every visit to the bathroom.

I've read of others having this problem. It's probably just pressing on your bladder in just the right spot, you may have to just "play" with it until you find a spot that works, or just continue as you're doing, removing it every time.

i can pee with mine in, but when i'm done peeing, i have to push it back into place. i have used it for 2 cycles now, and i'm still working on pelvic floor toning. for someone who never had vag birth, i sure have weak muscles. could your pelvic floor be oput of shape? try kegeling for a few months and see if it makes any difference.
