Is there an easy way to make a wrap like an Ellaroo or a Didy? I desperately need a carrier, but don't have the time to sew anything like a Mei Tai. I thought the wraps seemed like they would be little to no sewing.... So any advice? TIA!

The wrap that I use is a 4.5 m cloth of cotton gauze (might also be called crinkle cotton? It's a thin cotton with a loose weave, with slight give when you try to stretch it.). I split it in half lengthwise to give the other half to a friend. It is probably not quite as comfy or fashionable as an expensive name-brand one. It works wonderfully for me, and I use it very often. I've got several of my friends using them too! You don't even need to hem it, unless you really want to!

Thanks Mama!! That's what I thought I should use. I actually bought some yesterday, but I only bought 4 yds (3.66m). I'm only able to do a back carry with that length, so I will probably buy some more, so that I can do a different carry. It's nice to have different colors anyway. Not to mention it is onsale at JoAnn's for $2.39 a yard.

The Babywearer website has tonnes of great info. Check out the Wrap section to get lots of great ideas for wrapping. Have you tried the Front Cross Carry? I'd be able to do it with your length of wrap, but it would depend on your size and fabric.

Happy Wrapping!
