My dd is 7 and just lost her very first tooth. To me this is a big deal. Especially since it was her grown up tooth that was pushing the baby tooth out. (It came out lastnight after a pillow fight she had with her sister.) It's been loose for a long time, but she followed my rule and never really wiggled it or anything. I'm very proud of her and want to celebrate this coming of age experience. Has anyone else ever done anything special when their kid lost their first tooth? I'm just wondering what all to do to show her that it's special and to celebrate her milestone.

My dd is 5 and has two (kinda) loose teeth. The dentist said that it's going to be a while before they actually fall out, so I have some time. I've decided that I'm going to get her a charm bracelet and one charm for the first tooth and another charm for each subsequent tooth. That way she'll have something tangible and something to look forward to.

Maybe a special activity too?
